Huge success with the new TUBESCAN eagle view UV BST eltromat and Nyquist Systems has shown during Labelexpo 2015 in Brussels the new combined 100% print inspection system for UV and standard print. The new TUBESCAN eagle view version is a combination of 100% print inspection and web viewing. Beside the entire web width inspection (100%) a separate camera is traversing. This camera enables the operator to zoom areas of high interest like register marks or color marks. Another mile stone of the TUBESCAN eagle view is the parallel print inspection capability of UV ink in cooperation with the viewing camera for standard print under white illumination. Nyquist Systems made it possible by using the 100% inspection cameras for the UV inspection and the traversing camera for the white light viewing. A patented algorithm controls the flashes for the UV and white light LEDs. “Amazing” that was it what security, pharmaceutical and consumer label printers said after they have seen the new TUBESCAN eagle view UV. The small and compact size of the TUBESCAN makes it easy to integrate it in nearly all printing presses, slitters and converting machines. With a height of only 302mm from web surface to the top of the TUBESCAN housing it fits in all machines. And this is the size for all web widths, doesn’t matter if it is a 10”, 13”, 17”, 22” or 50inch machine. The height stays at 305mm. With the TUBESCAN eagle view system, Nyquist Systems together with his distribution partner BST eltromat set new standards in the field of 100% print inspection. Were the versions TUBESCAN digital strobe for detecting missing labels and unremoved matrix and the digital strobe++ for detecting relevant print defects already leading the way for costeffective 100% inspection, so the TUBESCAN eagle view now opens with the combination of 100% print inspection and web monitoring a completely new chapter for the label printing market.
