Minling's Photo Album 48 pages Parchment, Taiwan"Curtain Shadow"paper, ice paper, etc. The book unfolds as a visual narrative in the mother's first-person account, and in the layout I used small paper materials to highlight cultural events that had a profound impact on her; for example, her hometown custom of worshipping the moon, which I used in the form of a shopping list, in an attempt to create a scenario that invites people to learn about how this woman received influences from the cultures of Chenghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong all at once over a period of thirty years, and fused them into her own cultural identity.
