GET STARTED A-Level Results to end of August First things first, put this guide down and celebrate! However you got to this point you deserve it. Buy an Academic Diary to mark important dates and upcoming deadlines. There’s going to be a lot of things to remember and get sorted so it will help keep you organised and on track. Carefully read all the information sent by the University to understand induction, accommodation and what you need to do next. Download our free WelcomeFest App and get excited about our festival of welcome for all students studying at the University of Hull! It’s your one stop destination for everything you need in your first few weeks of uni life.

Follow /hullstudent on facebook and join the ‘University of Hull Official WelcomeFest 2016’ event on facebook’. Beware other ‘Freshers’ groups – this is the only OFFICIAL University of Hull event. Pick up some tips from current students. Our WelcomeFest blogs share some inside info from people who have been there and done it! visit hullstudent.com

s Matt Evan President If you’re not moving into halls or a university house for your first year and are looking for student friendly accommodation check out StuRents.com. Make sure you look for properties registered with HullSTARS so you can read honest reviews from students like you. Visit hullstars.co.uk

Start to think about your budget. Remember your loan will not reach your account until you have registered. You’ll get an email from the University about when this is - usually in the first week - so you

will need some money to cover the first week or so. If you’re thinking of getting a part-time job alongside your studies you can start looking here - hullstudent. com/jobshop
