As fate would have it, the Brooks family saw the post and came straight to the shelter. They had recently adopted a similar reptile, and were certain they had the knowledge, patience, and willingness to provide for her! Pascal came to the shelter in a discarded bag, but left in the arms a loving mom, brother, and sister, a welldeserved upgrade!
Leo
Sweet senior Leo was surrendered to HSTB when his previous owner suffered from health complications and could no longer care for him. Leo was extremely anxious, scared, and confused in the shelter and spent most of his days hiding, hoping no one paid attention to him.
Alex came to the shelter looking for a cat to adopt. When he saw Leo hiding, he sat quietly on the floor and tried to coax the traumatized kitty into his lap. After two hours, Leo finally ventured out for a visit. Unfortunately, Alex couldn’t stay any longer.
Unable to get Leo out of his mind, Alex came back to the shelter with his wife and in-laws. This time, Leo came right out when Alex sat next to him; he even let Alex pick him up! It was a match made in heaven and well worth the wait!
