At the age of 20 I bought an old analog reflex Richo for my pleasure and for study. For a very long time I lost interest in photography until I started taking photos with a Fuji SLR 6 Mp. From that moment the photograph would never be out of my life. I attended a photography course with the teacher Angelo Tondini, a former student of Art Kane, I think he’s the great American visionary photographer. I began to seriously study the authors, the masters of the past and present. I took the “Palio di Legnano “ on behalf of Familia Legnanese for four years, and then I worked for other 2 years as official photographer of the College of Captains. In the month of January 2016 I opened my own studio in Milan, devoting myself to glamor and boudoir. My photography is deliberately impromptu, deliberately imperfect up to the trash. muse Sabrina www.liamdotz.com www.facebook.com/liam.dotz www.instagram.com/liamdotz

My relationship with the camera was born 4 years ago. When I had free time I devoted myself to photography until I started to get interested in my other great passion: music. I have been playing the guitar s For 8 years and then I started writing songs . I bought My first SLR camera just for filming the video clips for my songs, I was very curios about the camera so I began to photograph everything around me. More and more fascinated by the wor-

ld of photography, I decided it was time to get serious, I began to attend courses to learn more about it , as a tool, and everything that relates this world. I learned the main concepts, and after various experiments, I realized that the portrait was perhaps the branch that most fascinated me. Still now , photography is one of my greatest passion !

Was born in Venezuela. He started taking pictures following in his father’s footsteps. His father introduced him to this form of art, starting from the basis and guided him in finding the magic within photography transmitting him all of his knowledge in terms of its use and development. However, his approach to photography was rather technical. As a consequence of this, Thomas begins to deal with photography seeing it mainly as a sort of commitment rather than a spontaneous and conscious decision. In addition, little by little he starts feeling a bit far from his father’s view, which subsequently is left behind. According to Thomas, it is hugely important to consider the emotional aspect beyond the technical notions. He fiercely believes that photography is a vision mediated by the photographer’s eyes and soul. Apart from photography he got to know various decoration techniques, among others the airbrush. Likewise, he develops a strong interest in paint brushes, colours which leads him to improve considerably his creativity. This way, he discovers the enchant-

34

ment of light and how magical it is to be able to manage it properly. His ‘’nude art’’ pictures are by far the greatest examples of his improvement. When it comes to photography I like to think of it as a story, more precisely a combination of stories, notably mine and that of the person who is in front of me. So, in a sense, taking pictures could be described as a sort of journey of self-discovery since you lack

credibility unless you have something to say. Moreover, taking pictures lets you discover new angles on life which might be completely different from yours. Admittedly, having a woman in front of your camera is a great opportunity of making a journey through the complexity of female world and its conflicting traits. A woman is never ‘’just naked’’ . Light turns out to be

an incredibly powerful tool capable of drawing spaces, creating distances and describing different universes. It can flow delicately on each and every single curve of the body. Also, it can reflect itself through the folds of a drape or illuminate a face or a look. On the other hand, shadow is that absolutely essential element which creates contrast allowing you to capture expressions, gestures and fragilities. In a photograph, a naked body has

the amazingly beautiful potential of expressing eroticism, passion, sinuosity and at the same time femininity and sweetness.Light and shadow become great tools useful for magnifying the beauty of a woman’s body in all its fine movements and for expressing purity and delicacy simply playing with transparencies and reflections. The truth is a woman will be completely naked only if she allows you to see her soul, her intimacy entirely made of

desires, dreams, ambitions often untold.

Massimiliano “I never want to be someone who takes predictable, boring photographs. to combat this, I ask myself after every photo: is this good enough?” I’m always triyng to give the best. Photos havea special meaning for me, with a simple click I convey more than I can convey in words, photography has its own language! Photography is for me art, somethingwhich I can not live without. I started at the age of 17, I was beginner and I did not know quite what the photograph was actually, and then

over time I improved my techniques, I worked on details but mostrlyI tried to pull off those feeling and emotions that are basis of my photos. What is behind a picture is essential, it just upsets me that many don’t feel anything. Thanks to the sensuality and the complicity of two muses of exception, I realize this project. Project been born by the desire to give prominence to the femininity but above all the true essence of the woman.

D I S TA N T E

A mix of double exposures realized on camera and in post-production, the body to make evanescent, leaving that they are only some details to reveal in evident way. The choice of slim colors and tall lights it has been dictated by the necessity and wish to turn two sinuous bodies into pure essence. credit:

After the artistic studies,I started the career as graphic designer and draftsman. I fell in the world of photography just all thanks to my old girlfriend,my muse and my teacher, without her would never have had the fortune to make this passion and my job. In my career, I have realized advertising countries, which were published in America, Russia and Middle East, then I have published on national magazines like “Panorama”, to weekly like “novella 2000”, “CHI”, “Top”,

etc... During the years I have realized and released some artists like Gabry Ponte, some partecipants of “ Grande Fratello” and of the “La Pupa e il Secchione”. In this way I started living two parallel careers, one more commercial and a other more artistic. Currently I continue on this road never satisfying me of banal releases or of styles already visited.
