Friends,

It is my honor to welcome you to HRC’s Annual Greater Cincinnati Dinner! Because you’re here at this incredible event, I know you understand the importance, the excitement, and the togetherness that comes with our shared mission. And I humbly thank you for all you’ve done, and will continue to do, to be a part of HRC’s work towards equality and inclusivity. Equality for our LGBTQ+ family, and equality for all who, for too long, have been marginalized.

HRC is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our community. Throughout my career, this organization has been a constant source of advocacy, advice, and fervent support of our shared values. We all, together, have the good fortune and the serious responsibility of being living, breathing stewards of what HRC has helped achieve. The strides we’ve made in Greater Cincinnati have been made specifically because of the activists, organizers, community and business leaders –people like you in this room – who have stood firmly on the side of progress and mutual love and respect.

The Annual Dinner is a joyful celebration of the sacrifices and commitments you’ve made to support, uplift, and defend the forward progress driven by HRC and our community. But while we commemorate the accomplishments of the past, we will also use tonight as an opportunity to reaffirm, proudly, our collective commitment to the future. As allies, as advocates, as members of this vital team, we stand as one in our dedication to making sure that in Greater Cincinnati and across the globe, our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors are embraced by all.
