TINO CCR
About the process, the team, and the goals for the company.
DEAR READER... In the first quarter of 2023, we were challenged to find an innovative strategy to support the significant challenges of the CCR Group. While searching in the global market, we were introduced to HUMINT Solutions, the company that has developed a unique methodology for obtaining and utilizing information. The decision to embark on a project that deviates from the conventional approach—where the consultancy does not directly execute activities but instead trains an internal team to make the project more sustainable— was crucial. This allows CCR to continue applying the methodology without the need for external consultants. The first step involved selecting a team, which was nominated by the Executive Board of the CCR Group, and choosing ambassadors to support the initiative. Subsequently, we underwent an intensive and highly enriching training for our team. It marked a shift in our mindset, as we recognized alternative ways to find solutions for corporate dilemmas in a light manner that adds value to all involved parties. We also engaged in conversations with several leaders who were excited about the new methodology. This approach promises greater clarity in decision-making through the collection of perspectives from persons without conflicts of interest but possessing genuine knowledge to share.
The TINO Climbing was an incredible and thrilling event in the process, featuring the participation of employees from various areas who had the opportunity to learn about the project's concepts in a playful manner. They experienced an engaging and challenging journey, overcoming their limits and enjoying themselves along the way. Now, I would like to invite you to a quick immersion into the project through this magazine. This way, we can share with you some of the most important points. In this publication, you will find information about the following: The TINO methodology The TINO CCR team The TINOs Pedro Sutter’s perspective on TINO CCR Marilia Zulini da Costa Loosli’s perspective on TINO CCR Experiences of the TIKOs The TINO Climbing event Closing words by Murilo Massaretto I'll be happy to address any questions you may have about our project!

THE TINO METHODOLOGY Information is the most valuable asset for organizations, and that is why the main focus of TINO CCR is to identify and collect relevant information and apply it to solving various types of dilemmas that may arise for the CCR Group. TINO has already been successfully implemented in Brazil, some European countries, and Israel and can be best described as a non-technological innovation methodology focusing on ‘learning from people you didn’t think you could learn from.’ Innovation is typically described as finding new solutions with existing resources (such as materials). With TINO, we seek existing knowledge and skills that have not yet been recognized. To the right of this page, you will see a graphical explanation. The intelligent use of knowledge that is available ‘for free’ in the company's ecosystem will help us create solutions and connect them to their respective demands. This dynamic occurs in a light manner through conversations, where the TINO CCR team seeks to learn from people about the subjects they unconsciously have knowledge of and, most importantly, do not have a direct conflict of interest with. This valuable networking is what is behind the name TINO, which stands for Think Intelligence Network Owner. In other words, the TINO CCR team aims to create a network of contacts. With each conversation, new perspectives are collected. This exchange also provides space for people to be genuinely heard and feel valued, generating benefits for the company and those participating in the process. This is what we call a "win-win game." With the creation of this vast database of information and network, we can piece together the "puzzles" with validated hypotheses, important details, and different perspectives, which are continuously sent to decision-makers to contribute a second opinion on pre-selected topics. It is important to emphasize that our goal is to identify possible areas for improvement or vulnerabilities (what we affectionately call "holes"), but not to investigate individuals. According to TINO, it is more effective to "close the holes" than to seek blame or involvement. The TINO project will remain active as long as it meets the expectations of CCR and adds value to our processes.

THE TINO CCR TEAM In recent months, under the guidance of HUMINT Solutions, we engaged in numerous conversations with various individuals within CCR to carefully assemble the ideal team for TINO CCR. Our selection process was thorough, taking into consideration backgrounds (skills, experience, and personality), availability, and how well the selected individuals might complement each other. After forming the team, HUMINT Solutions provided comprehensive training, including on-site training focused on addressing specific challenges within CCR, ensuring they gained hands-on experience that directly benefits our operations at CCR. Our TINO CCR team members were trained in three information collection processes provided by HUMINT Solutions:
Type B: Information collected through interviews. Type C: Information collected through observations Type D: Information from open-source platforms (e.g., social media)
Additionally, they trained the profile they call Type A, which generates intelligence through the integration and analysis of information collected by the other three profiles.
The interviews conducted by TINO Type B are carried out with individuals who have the profile of a 'TIKO,' which stands for 'Think Intelligence Knowledge Owners.' TIKOs possess valuable information that has not yet been recognized. Another characteristic of this profile is the absence of a conflict of interest with the challenges the TINO team is facing. This enhances the reliability of the information they provide.
In a business context, "intelligence" refers to the process of collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to make informed decisions and gain insights to enhance the performance and competitiveness of an organization.

TINO CLIMBING EVENT To spread awareness of the TINO process among more CCR employees, we arranged a TINO climbing event. Here, participants learned about the method in an engaging and dynamic way. Let me give you a tour:
During the event, climbing was utilized to illustrate some of the essential aspects of the TINO method, like the significance of diverse perspectives.
Similar to within a company, individuals observe various aspects from different points on the climbing wall.
We also engaged in collaborative games to demonstrate how we frequently rely on each other to achieve success.
The participants were divided into teams and led by a TINO 'captain' from the TINO CCR team, like Rodrigo.
The TINO CCR team had prior experience with a climbing session, so they were aware of what the participants would go through, including the challenge of climbing blindfolded.
Sabrina did it! She climbed up to the highest pillar. Well done powerwoman! ...because some more physical and mental challenges were waiting, such as this pillar stairs. Would you dare to do it?
Each team was collecting points, providing them with additional motivation to give it their best shot.
During the activities, there was a dedicated session to explore the TINO CCR process, offering participants a deeper understanding of the method and its practical application in CCR.
Of course, the winners (pictured) received a nice prize. However, it was truly impressive to see how well all the teams performed and pushed their own limits!
We concluded the event with a special song written by Murilo that describes elements of TINO and the goal with TINO CCR. The song's lyrics can be found at the end of the magazine, along with a link to the recording.
All participants of the TINO Climbing event, including the TINO CCR team, members of HUMINT Solutions, and other guests.
FEEDBACK ON THE EVENT “It made me very enthusiastic and with a strong sense of purpose in the project.”
“I loved it! The best part was the networking opportunity with the people of other CCR companies.”
“I really enjoyed it! Every stage, both the climbing and the final considerations.”
“I loved it! Excellent dynamics, very important points to review in both personal and professional life.”
“The dynamics provided a practical insight into different perspectives, depending on the level at which one operates within the company.”
“I loved everything because I had never participated in any similar activity before.”
“I felt the energy of the people and the commitment.”
“It was a dynamic and very interesting event.”
“A wonderful experience. I exceeded my limits and loved sharing the experience!”
“I liked the integration with other colleagues, team spirit, and participation in the challenges.”
