ABOUT HUMMEL
PRIMARY TARGET GROUP URBAN ATHLETES WITH A PASSION FOR SNEAKERS
SINCE 1923 Once upon a rainy afternoon in the year of 1923, a young shoemaker by the name of Albert Messmer was watching a football match in his hometown Eppendorf. During the match, he noticed how all the players were sliding around the muddy pitch – and that sparked an idea. A very bright idea. Albert went home to his workshop, worked all night and the next morning he came out with his first sports product – a pair of football cleats.
The football cleat in Albert’s Eppendorf backyard was the starting point for hummel – and now, more than 90 years later, hummel products are sold in more than 35 countries. HUMMEL SPORT & FASHION hummel is the proud long-term manufacturer of sports apparel, sports gear, sneakers and fashion apparel. The sport heritage is omnipresent in all aspects of the hummel brand – including the development and design of all our product lines. Even our fashion collections are characterised by sporty silhouettes and an overall active look. So when new collections are launched several times a year, it is easy to mix and match styles across collections – resulting in a vast variety of styling options. Danish design-traditions are strong influencers on our products. We work with clean lines, add a deep love for edgy details and strong colour-combinations as well as inspiration from retro and current trends to attain our signature cool and urban street style vibe with a sporty twist. BRAND NEW TO THE STADIL RANGE A brand-new shoe to the Stadil range for the 2017 summer season, the Stadil RMX High/Low introduces a lot of new adjustments to the heritage design – more character to the outsoles, thicker outlook, refined last, considered patterns – without cannibalising the essence of the shoe. Presented using a mix of canvas and suede, a debossed chevron and hummel logo retain a subtle and consistent branding across the upper, the patterns remain consistent across both the hi-top and lo-top ranges and each model has a tongue more considered than a hostage negotiator’s. VICTORY LEATHER A LITTLE MORE ROBUST
The Victory Leather, as its moniker suggests, differs to the Victory by virtue of its deft mix of action leather – as opposed to suede with polyurethane detailing, but ticks all the same retrospective boxes with its contrastingly cogent red-and-white colourway, classic silhouette and archetypal gum outsole. A little more robust than the Victory but no less smooth for the transformation.
