MARK MUSIAL, SUMMIT AS SUMMIT RESTAURANT prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary throughout 2016, we visit with Summit Chef de Cuisine Mark Musial to learn what inspires his French-influenced cuisine.
DESTINATION DINING
Summit Celebrates 10 Years!
From world-class fine dining to casual elegance and fresh local fare, The Broadmoor’s restaurants are a destination unto themselves.
WHAT’S YOUR COOKING PHILOSOPHY IN ONE SENTENCE? Source great ingredients and let their natural flavors shine. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST CULINARY INFLUENCE? While I’ve learned a lot from all of the chefs I’ve worked with, my dad taught me the importance of never giving up and what it means to work hard. He unknowingly prepared me for a life in the culinary industry. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD CITY AND WHY? There are two cities where I go with the intention of eating: Memphis for BBQ at Charlie Vergos’ Rendezvous and New Orleans for an original muffuletta at Central Grocery and Deli and a shrimp po’ boy from Parkway Bakery and Tavern. Open for dinner, Summit is located across Lake Circle from Broadmoor Main. Closed Mondays. Call 855-300-3988 or visit Broadmoor.com/dining-reservations for reservations.
