Matar Pulao Recipe
Peas Pulao is a culinary gem among North Indian dishes in the vegetarian rice recipes. Stir up some peas and rice to make a gorgeous, aromatic matar pulao. Bring the delicious aroma of fresh green peas to your table with this recipe!
Ingredients:
2 cups basmati rice 2 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp shredded ginger 2 cups shelled peas 2 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp garam masala Salt to taste 1 tsp turmeric powder Water
Instructions: 1.Wash the basmati rice well. 2.Soak it in warm water for an hour. 3.Strain the rice and set aside. 4.Heat the ghee in a heavy pan, and fry the cumin seeds and ginger. 5.Add the peas, garam masala, salt, turmeric and rice and stir well. 6.Sauté for about a minute.
7.Pour in four cups of water, and allow it to boil. 8.Then, lower the flame and allow the mixture to simmer. 9.Cover the pan and cook the rice for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. 10.After, ten minutes, remove the rice from the stove and serve!
