Dedication

Over the past eleven years science at Hun has taken the shape ot one man in particular who has touched lives as well as computer keys and metronomes. He has examined the physical properties ot the high jump and shotput on the field and sound waves and laser beams in the laboratory. He has guided students in intellectual excellence as well as compassion and care for others. Student Council bears his special stamp in the enthusiasm generated for humanitarian projects. For these and many other reasons the Class of 1991 extends its dedication to Edward J. Sabol, who reminds us all to "be there or be square."

Tribute

To make the routine seem like routine takes little talent; to make the unusual seem like routine takes much talent. To make everything seem effortless, to know the answer to every student, parent or teacher question, to anticipate the needs of the hundreds of people who constitute the Hun School - - all this takes a certain kind of mind, a certain kind of genius. For seven years one individual has made the Academic Office in the Upper School run smoothly and run well. With an ease and a grace she makes the thousand and one details fall into place. Because The Hun School has run so efficiently and because she has been a friend to so many of us, we, the Class of 1991, present this tribute to Doris Schmidt.

The 1991 EDGERSTOUNIAN staff extends its thanks to William H. Quirk, Jr. and Keith Baicker for their help with photography, especially sports; to Kristin Grundy for advice and photographs; to Paul Lynch for sports photography; to Judy Persichetti for ice hockey action shots; to Kate Boyle for staff assignments; and to many others who helped make pictures of clubs, classes, and events become reality. Allen R. Kirschner read proof and offered advice on editing copy. Doris Schmidt typed endless announcements to keep seniors and faculty informed. Steve Wessel kept the computer lab available to the staff and seniors to word process a seemingly endless stream of copy. Joyce Penney supervised and encouraged the art work enhancing the book. Cathy Challener offered her able hand when time permitted. Arthur Rozas, Dr. Constance Shaffer, and Norman Roessler proofread foreign language copy. Chris Spencer of Spencer Studios supplied glossy pictures of seniors, faculty, and staff. Mike Gilroy of Herff Jones spent many long hours training and aiding the staff. Many students stopped by the English Office to offer help and advice; some stayed and became regular staff members. Though we cannot acknowledge every effort individually, we appreciate the support and hard work. Because the seniors were asked to do so much, their response is largely the measure of how good the 1991 EDGERSTOUNIAN is.
