WELCOME! Welcome to the 2022 Houston Safari Club Foundation Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention! I know you are as excited as we are after being forced to hold a virtual event in 2021. We are back! The expo at the George R. Brown Convention Center-Hall A, will be open 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday. New for this year, there will be extended Sunday hours from 9am-3pm. You will be able to meet and interact with hunting and fishing outfitters from all over the world, see the latest firearms, optics, hunting gear, and more. We will have a casual dinner and auction Friday night at the Hilton Americas-Houston, which is always a great way to reconnect with fellow members, outfitters and friends. In addition, we will be presenting our annual hunting awards and acknowledging this year’s scholarship recipients.We round out the evening with entertainment by comedian Son Tran, an incredible live auction and games. Saturday afternoon the ladies of the Gazelles will host their annual luncheon - an event that is always a highlight of the weekend. This year, the Gazelles event will include entertainment by country music singer Kenna Danielle, live and silent auctions as well as great food, drinks and games. This lunch is not just for the ladies, as all are encouraged to attend this rocking good time.

Saturday night, our annual Black-Tie Gala, features our Hunter of the Year awards, a wonderful formal dinner, and an open bar. We have worked hard to find some truly great entertainment for you this year-the hilarious comedian Tom Cotter will be the featured entertainer. In addition, Ivan Carter, the famous professional hunter, conservationist, author, and TV personality will be our keynote speaker. The Gala will conclude, as always, with a fantastic live auction, featuring some incredible new items up for grabs. This is a great event for all, truly a highlight of the year!

ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE HOUSTON SAFARI CLUB FOUNDATION Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the sport of hunting through education, conservation, and the promotion of our hunting heritage. HSCF proudly provides one of the largest scholarship programs of its kind. Annually, HSCF provides twenty-five (25) scholarships in the amount of $6,000.00 each. To date, 638 scholarships have been awarded, totaling $2,778,500. We annually host 200 area high school students for a day of career introductions to outdoor-related professions, at our annual convention. In addition, we host almost 100 students for hunting and fishing experiences each year. HSCF has provided over $4 million in grants to support conservation, anti-poaching, hunters’ rights, youth education, hunter education and more Our members come from a diverse background and have a wide variety of hunting, fishing, outdoor and other interests. They have a passion for the outdoors, a love of hunting, a commitment to the responsible management of our national resources, the education of future generations and the responsibilities of being hunter-

HSC collaborates with legislators, key opinion leaders, policy groups, professional organizations and governments at home and abroad. We are very actively involved with state, federal and international policy and legislation concerning wildlife and habitat.

When bidding from the floor, raise your hand high or bid paddle and, if necessary, stand to get the attention of the auctioneer or one of his spotters. The auctioneer and his staff are responsible for the auction. Their rules must be followed explicitly. All decisions of the auctioneer will be final. Auctioneer and staff will decide any disputes regarding the bids during the live auction. Asking questions ahead of time is encouraged. speak with the donor, visit their booth (if they are an exhibitor) and check their references. HSCF supports and promotes hunts and trips from donors who are members in good standing with their local and national hunting associations. Some items, as components of donated hunts, may or may not be included unless specified. This may pertain to travel expenses to and from destination; hotel and meals before and after the hunt; alcoholic beverages; trophy dipping, packaging and shipping; gratuities and other items. Please review the details for each auction item. Most hunt donations, unless otherwise specified, are for the 2022 season. All trips, unless otherwise specified, expire January 31, 2021. Special arrangements other than as set forth in the auction description are expressly between the donor and the auction winner. Some non-hunt donations may require delivery and installation at your expense. It is the bidder’s responsibility to read the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability for Goods & Services. By bidding on any auction item, whether in person or online, the bidder agrees that they have read, understand and agree to the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability.

Method of Payment: Cash, Check, or Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover) All hunts must be paid in full prior to being taken. All merchandise must be paid in full prior to taking possession. Any firearms that may be included in auctions or contests are subject to all state and federal laws. Transactions for these items will be managed by an approved FFL provider. The FFL provider information will be provided to the winning bidder for completion of transfer. Winners are responsible for all costs of shipping and FFL transfer fees.

(RAFFLE ONLY) For all non-cash prizes, valued at $5,000.00 USD or greater, the winner must remit 24% of the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the prize, less the wager amount, to Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) or Houston Safari Club (HSC) (dependent upon the designated organization for which an item is being auctioned) for tax withholding and shall indemnify and hold harmless HSCF and/or HSC against all claims relating to such taxes and expenses. Buffalo Butte Ranch is located in the prime pheasant hunting location known as the Golden Triangle in south central South Dakota. The hunt will be on our privately-owned ranch with an abundant population of pheasants. On our ranch, we farm just for the birds, with plenty of food plots and sorghum for the birds to flourish in. You will have your own guide with trained dogs. The hunt includes a 3-rooster limit per day per hunter but you can purchase more birds to hunt if you so choose.
