Charted a 22-4 record in singles play and 14-6 in doubles play as a sophomore in 2009...played match at third doubles and #5 singles vs. Western New Mexico in NCAA regional...posted a singles record of 7-3 and a doubles record of 4-4 in 2008..sixth singles champion at the 2008 NCC tournament...member of the SCSU Athletic-Honor Roll...a 2007 graduate of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle H.S., where he played for coach Curt Hatfield...six-time letterwinner in tennis...four-time All-Conference award winner...five-time team MVP and threetime state tournament participant...lettered in hockey... Kevin Bauleke, Senior Waseca, Minn. (Waseca H.S.)

Bauleke was 12-8 in singles play as a junior...he also charted an 11-10 doubles record in 2010...scored a doubles victory over Mesa State in 2010 NCAA tournament...Bauleke was 12-6 in singles play in 2009, and he also was 9-5 in doubles play in 2009...played at third doubles in NCAA tournament match against Western New Mexico...posted a doubles record of 18-9 in 2008... finished in first place for #3 doubles at the NCC tournament in 2008...a 2007 graduate of Waseca H.S., where he played for coach Kyle Collins...member of the SCSU Academic-Honor Roll...Marketing major at SCSU with a minor in Management... enjoys playing the guitar...parents are Linden and Toni Bauleke of Waseca.

Jeremy Thompson, Junior Elk River, Minn. (Elk River H.S.)

Redshirt at SCSU in 2011...Thompson was 12-10 in single play in 2010...11-12 in doubles play in 2010... Thompson scored a 4-1 record in singles play and a 12-6 doubles record in 2009...a 2008 graduate of Elk River High School where he played for Kurt Johnson...lettered six times in tennis and twice in soccer... served as captain for tennis two seasons and placed third as a team at state...double major in criminal justice and political science...enjoys playing hockey and the bass guitar...parents are Matt and Mary Thompson of Elk River.

Michael Margolies, Sophomore Aberdeen, S.D. [Aberdeen Central H.S.]

Margolies gained a 2-4 record in singles play in 2010...13-9 in doubles play in 2010...gained win at #2 doubles in 2010 NCAA tournament match against Mesa State... A 2009 graduate of Aberdeen Central H.S...three-year letterwinner in tennis...three-time all conference and all-state team his senior year...third place finish at #1 singles in 2009...plans on majoring in mass communications at St. Cloud State...parents are Marc and Susan Margolies of Aberdeen.

Orsi posted an 11-10 singles record in 2010 for SCSU...he also posted an 10-11 doubles record in 2010 for SCSU...played #3 singles and #3 doubles in NCAA tournament match against Mesa State in 2010... A resident of Londrina, Brazil, Orsi attended Vincente Rijo School...economics major and a finance minor at St. Cloud State...parents are Joao Antonio Orsi Neto and Maria Julia Junpueira Scicchitano Orsi...enjoys music and reading books.

A 2010 graduate Monticello H.S...sixtime letterwinner at Monticello H.S...AllConference recipient as a prep player... Academic Award winner...in Honors program at SCSU...enjoys music, playing video games and intramural sports...son of SCSU head coach Jerry Anderson and Melissa Anderson.

A 2009 graduate of SPASH H.S., O'Neal was a four-year letterwinner in tennis... four-time state qualifier...earned 2nd team All-State honors in doubles and singles... team captain at SPASH...on honor roll in high school...enjoys working with engines... Entrepreneurial Studies major at SCSU with a minor in marketing...parents are Dan and Lori O'Neal of Stevens Point...

West Des Moines, Iowa [Valley H.S.] A 2010 graduate Valley H.S....4-year letterwinner in tennis at Valley H.S...placed 2nd in Iowa state high school tournament in singles play in 2010 and 5th at 2009 state meet...helped lead Valley H.S. to state title in 2010...honor roll in high school...accounting major at SCSU...son of Floyd and Betsey Sturgeon of West Des Moines, Iowa.

The Husky Tennis Tradition Success, Excellence...SCSU TENNIS In 2009, the Huskies entered a new era as an independent NCAA Division II program. A member of the historic North Central Conference from 1982 to 2008, the Huskies won 15 NCC titles and seven consecutive titles from 2002 to 2008. The NCC disbanded at the end of the 2007-08 academic year. The Huskies completed the 2010 season by earning their 10th consecutive bid to the NCAA Division II tournament. In 2009, the Huskies set a new school record for the most dual match wins in a season with 25 victories. The old record of 24 wins was set in 2002 with a 24-7 record. Under the leadership of head coach Jerry Anderson, the Huskies have been a perennial regional tennis power at the NCAA Division II level. In fact, the Huskies have gained a bid to the NCAA tournament every year since 2001. The Huskies also enjoy one of the area's top indoor tennis faclities at the Gold's Gym Tennis Complex in nearby Sartell. This facility features five courts and an outstanding hardcourt playing surface.

SCSU Coach Profile Head Coach Jerry Anderson

St. Cloud State men's tennis coach Jerry Anderson begins his 14th season with the SCSU men's team and sixth season with the women's team in 2011. In his first two years at SCSU, Anderson directed the Huskies to first place finishes in the North Central Conference and also gained NCC titles in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. After winning NCC Championships in 9 of 11 years, SCSU left the NCC in 2009 and men’s tennis now competes as an independent. Anderson owns a men's team career record at SCSU of 235-98. In 2009, SCSU set a new team record for dual meet wins at 25-3. The Huskies have gained ten consecutive NCAA Division II tournament bids under the leadership of Coach Anderson (2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2001). Anderson was named the Wilson/ITA Region Men's Tennis Coach of the Yea ('05 and '09) and has earned NCC Coach of the Year honors ine times during his career. Of note, Anderson will also begin his sixth season as the head coach of the women's team at SCSU in 2011. A member of the St. Cloud State University tennis team from 1982-1984, Anderson served as a team captain during his senior campaign in 1984. At Willmar Community College, Anderson earned All-Region 13 honors and earned a trip to the NJCAA national championships in 1981. Anderson graduated from SCSU in 1984, with a degree in physical education, a minor in athletic coaching and driver education certification. He has been an assistant professor at SCSU since 1985. He also serves as the assistant girls' tennis coach at Monticello High School and served as the boys' and girls' junior varsity tennis coach at Anoka Senior High School from 1993 to 1995. # NCAA Regional Bids

SCSU Assistant Coaches Assistant Coach Larry Sundby Larry Sundby begins his 24th season with the Huskies' tennis program in 2011. The longtime head coach of the SCSU women's program, Sundby now serves as an assistant coach for the men's and women's programs to head coach Jerry Anderson. Sundby stepped down as the SCSU women's coach in 2005. In 18 seasons at SCSU as the University's women's tennis coach, Sundby compiled a 311-129 record and led the Huskies to three North Central Conference titles in 1988, 1990 and 1991. He was voted the North Central Conference Coach of the Year in 1988 and 1991. Sundby has also led SCSU to NCAA Division II tournament bids in 1995, 2003 and 2004. Sundby is in his 28th season overall as a high school and collegiate tennis coach. As a tennis coach, his teams have compiled a 439-171 overall record. He was recognized as the Minnesota High School Girl's Class AA Tennis Coach of the Year in 1992. In 2006, Sundby received a North Central Conference Honor Award. Sundby is a professor emeritus of accounting at St. Cloud State University.

Assistant Coach Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson has brought valuable experience to the SCSU tennis program over the past several seasons. As a volunteer coach, Johnson works in the areas of singles and doubles strategy, stroke development and practice drilling. Johnson is a faculty member in the College of Business.

Assistant Coach Mark Muntifering

Mark Muntifering is the tennis director at Gold's Gym Tennis Center in Sartell. He is also the head boys' and girls' tennis coach at St. Cloud Apollo H.S., where he has been recognized as the Minnesota High School "Coach of the Year" for both teams. He has also been recognized by the Northern Section of the USTA for his community volunteer work in promoting tennis.
