DEEP INSIDE, YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE IS QUITE SIMPLE Your personal choice is all about knowing what you really want. Pretty simple really, but sometimes you need rational reasons to confirm that you have made a good choice.   The reasons may be that Jonsered® is among the world’s leading manufacturers of machinery for work in the forest, park and garden. That design, feel and driving experience are the central components when we develop our chainsaws, brushcutters, trimmers and ride-on mowers. That safety, ergonomics, quality and performance have been our guiding words ever since we started in 1954. And that our dealers are extremely competent professionals.   If your choice is between a Jonsered and another brand, you’ve already reached the point where you are choosing from the best. The rest is just a matter of your own personality, about who you really are. You then also know what you want, deep down.   Welcome to the red team.

OUR TECHNOLOGY IS ABOUT YOUR WORKDAY Those who work professionally in the forest or on open land with a Jonsered® machine in their hands can be assured that we at Jonsered have given a lot of consider ation to the needs of you and your colleagues. We develop our professional machines so you can enjoy a simpler, less stressful and more profitable working day. Our Ulticor® machines are perhaps the best example of this.

2

The Ulticor range includes Jonsered’s most advanced machinery, developed for professional full time use. The engines and mechanics have a quality and precision that provide maximum operating efficiency and durability. The Ulticor machines are also designed to provide the best possible ergonomics and require minimal downtime for maintenance.

Clean Power™ is one of several examples of our successful product development. An engine techno logy that uses the fuel in a more efficient way than previous engine generations. Clean Power™ allows the engine’s mid-range power to increase significantly, which means more efficient cutting. At the same time, fuel consumption drops up to 20 percent resulting

in up to 75 percent less emissions in the exhaust. This means increased efficiency, improved operating economy and a healthier working environment. This allows you as a professional user to be more productive each working day.

3

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE RESPECT FOR EACH TREE Those of you that have felled a few trees, or a few thousand, probably have a pretty humble attitude towards nature. The tree you have taken down has been there a long time, perhaps for generations, and deserves to be treated with respect. The right chainsaw will help you do the job quickly, neatly and safely.   Whatever JonseredŽ model you choose, you get

4

a chainsaw of absolute world class. Rapid acceleration, balanced raw power, effective vibration damping and top-class ergonomics are characteristics you can benefit from whether you are working full time in the forest or simply cutting wood behind the country cottage at the weekends.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LOVE TO MOW THE LAWN, OR WISH YOU DID We suspect that there are really only two kinds of people: Those who love mowing the lawn, and those who think that cutting grass is a necessary evil. For some reason, those who seem to have chosen a lawnmower from Jonsered® usually belong to the more positive group.   The reason for this could be Jonsered lawnmower’s

56

rugged reliability, the effective cutting deck and the certified fact that our lawnmowers are very easy to operate. Or is it simply that the end result is just as perfect every time.   If you want to be one of those who love to mow the lawn, just read about the range of lawnmowers that can satisfy your desire in the following pages.

LAWNMOWERS www.jonsered.ie

JONSERED LM 2152 CMDAE Self-propelled lawnmower for those with high demands for cutting performance and comfort. Fitted with electric starter, central cutting height adjustment and extra large collector. See page 59.

ROBUST, EFFECTIVE MOWERS FOR LARGER LAWNS If you have a large lawn there are many different Jonsered® lawnmowers to choose from. All machines have powerful Briggs & Stratton engines with drive, and wide, robust mulching cutting decks. Most models have generously sized

ADJUSTABLE REAR HANDLE The adjustable rear handle on the hedge trimmers is very handy when cutting both vertically and horizontally.

EASIER START WITH SPIN START™ Spin Start™ helps when starting the machine and reduces pull resistance in the starter handle by up to 40 %.

LOW NOISE MODE The low noise engine design helps minimize neighbour disturbance.

KEEP YOUR HEDGE IN GOOD SHAPE Do you want to look forward to cutting your hedges and bushes? Buy an effective hedge trimmer with plenty of capacity. Jonsered offers several lightweight and low-noise

EASY TO START The Briggs & Stratton Snow Series engines are easy to start even in extremely cold conditions. Two of our models are also fitted with electric starter making them even easier to start.

POWER STEERING The “power steering” gives the possibility of disengaging the drive for one or both wheels making the thrower much easier to turn and manoeuvre.   The ST 2111 and the ST 2109 are equipped with heated handles.

SAFE GRIP Deep tread on the tyres and differential lock means a safer grip.

HIGH CAPACITY SNOW THROWERS Clearing  snow  will  be  easier and  more  efficient  this  winter. At least for those who have a ready-to-use snow thrower from Jonsered® in the shed when the first heavy snowfalls start. TESTED AND APPROVED The EuroTest label means that randomly selected garments are tested by a competent and independent third party expert has reviewed that the CE-mark on the product is fully justified.

HOW IT WORKS The saw protection consists of a lining with long fibres. If the saw chain cuts through the outer fabric, the fibres can get tangled up in the chain and shut it down in a fraction of a second, before the chain can penetrate your body.

LIGHTWEIGHT PROTECTION Modern protective clothing contains saw protection in six or nine layers. It makes the garment lighter and more comfortable while maintaining the level of protection.

MODERN MATERIAL Cordura is a durable, synthetic material used in clothing for demanding jobs in harsh conditions. Aramid, which consists of heat-resistant and robust synthetic fibres, offers a good balance between strength and weight, making the clothing both lightweight and comfortable.

FEEL SAFE AND LOOK GOOD When working with a chainsaw or brushcutter, it is absolutely vital to use modern, top-quality protection equipment. If the Jonsered® label is on your protective clothing, you can feel safe. Our protective clothing meets the norms and standards applicable in all markets. The clothing withstands

the wear inflicted by long shifts and demanding c onditions. The fit and protection features can handle wash after wash. Our protective clothing also has a functional and appealing design that gives it a stylish look and makes it comfortable to wear and work in.

MODEL C

Jonsered saw protection trousers are available in two designs: Model A and Model C. The shaded sections show the extent of the saw protection for each model. Front

In a country like Sweden, where 75 percent of the land is covered by forest, it is quite natural that forestry is one of the most important commercial sectors. The quest for technological advancement is another typical character of swedish heritage. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the world’s first lightweight one-man chainsaw was invented in Sweden already in 1954, more precisely in Jonsered, a small industrial village located in the forest landscape a few miles northeast of Gothenburg.   At that time, the Nordic forest communities were for generations populated by professional lumberjacks, tough men who lived and worked in simple conditions in a harsh climate. Making their lives a little less hard and risky became one of Jonsered’s main missions.   Since then, the engineers at Jonsered have c ontinued to lead the development of the professional chain saw right up to today’s models, with innovative solutions as main features: chain brake, vibration damping and turbo air cleaning to name a few. They have also developed the modern limbing technique, and teached this effective and labor-saving method all over the world.   For today’s professional and semi-professional chainsaw users, Jonsered is still synonymous with a truly effective and reliable co-worker in the forest. But our knowledge of lightweight, efficient engines, ergonomics and care of nature has also laid the groundwork for the full-featured model range that Jonsered now offers. A legacy and a pioneering spirit that we nurture to this day.
