Feed Waste/ Damage Hoof Trampling

By feeding out into narrow windrows, a chainless balefeeder makes feed easily accessible to all animals, and all but eliminates waste caused by hoof trampling.

In contrast to other systems, which feed out in solid clumps that are often left uneaten, a chainless feeder contributes to higher animals weight gains by teasing feed apart to make it more palatable and easily digestible. It handles partly used bales, so you only need to feed out what’s needed on the day, and its ability to deal with wet or loose bales means there’s no feed loss from the sides of the balefeeder. Because the chainless system teases the bale apart without over-processing, chopping or grinding the feed remains intact. This prevents the grains and highly nutritional leaves from being destroyed and blown away allowing your cattle to receive the full nutritional value of the feed.
