LOCAL ARTIST TO TEACH CLASS BY THE NEWS STAFF
Hutchinson artist Donna Brigman will lead an acrylic/watercolor class at the Hutchinson Art Center, 405 N. Washington St. The class will be divided into two sessions, on Nov. 3 and 5, and runs from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. The total cost for the class is $100. Brigman, who owns Brigman Studio in downtown Hutchinson, began painting in 1971 and has studied under noted artists Charles Sanderson of
Wichita; Doug Walton of Ruston, Louisiana; and Betty Lynch of Midland, Texas. She is a member and past president of the Kansas Watercolor Society and the former president of Kansas Painters West. Brigman has received numerous regional and national awards, and her work can be found in private and institutional collections nationwide.
