Sand Slate (mika)

Many of the Spectra designs have been chosen to offer customers the feel and beauty of granite, slate or stone, but always offering value for money, and high performance qualities of durable laminate.

Spectra’s Mika range takes its inspiration from nature and has a highly tactile surface finish giving the look and feel of real slate.

For a dramatic, contemporary kitchen opt for one of Spectra’s four black gloss designs; Black Slate, Taurus Black, Andromeda Black or Black Spark. Add a matching upstand or splashback and focused lighting for a dazzling high tech look.

A fresh twist to your kitchen design Why not add an hygienic and easy to install splashback or upstand?

Providing smooth, clean lines between walls and worktops, these simple additions to a kitchen offer a stylish alternative to tiling and will transform your kitchen into a luxurious and hygienic workspace.

Adding matching upstands to gloss worksurfaces mirrors the light reflections and gives a modern kitchen extra sparkle. Upstands also prolong the life of your work surface as they provide additional protection against water exposure at the back edge of the worktop.

Matching upstands are available for all Spectra designs, splashbacks are available for selected worksurface designs.

DISTINCTIVE WORKSURFACES

Worksurfaces Distinctive design and quality, guaranteed Spectra worksurfaces are created from top quality component materials and premium surface laminate and are manufactured to the rigorous standards of BS/ EN438.

This ensures the best heat, moisture and impact resistance. Above all, the surface is hygienic and ideal for food preparation.

Spectra laminate worksurfaces are built around E1 grade high density particle board, which is an environmentally preferred material. The substrate is manufactured to EN312/2003 Part 3 P2 grade, and is PEFC chain of custody certified.

The laminate surface is formed around the top and bottom edges with a 6mm corner radius to give the finished surface a modern, angular profile. The 6mm profile also protects against exposure to moisture and provides a drip barrier. The front and rear edges are also tightly sealed to give protection from water and steam.

Andromeda Black (quartz)

A resin impregnated foil is applied to the underside of the worksurface to offer additional moisture resistance.

A rebate with a polyurethane resin in-fill acts as an additional moisture barrier.

Care and maintenance

Laminate worksurfaces are easy to care for Laminate worksurfaces do not demand time consuming, regular maintenance. Your Spectra worksurface will continue to look good for years to come, provided you follow a few basic guidelines: I

Worksurfaces should always be protected from hot pans by the use of hob bars or trivets.

I

Never chop food directly onto a worksurface, always use a chopping board.

I

All spills should be mopped up immediately.

I

To keep your worksurface looking its best, wipe it regularly with a damp cloth and buff with a lint-free cloth to remove water marks.

I

To remove everyday stains wipe with a damp cloth and a mild, non abrasive, surface cleaner.

I

To remove more stubborn marks allow the detergent to soak on the surface for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly with clean water.

I

Spectra’s strong inner core means your worksurface will withstand most knocks and bumps, but avoid placing extremely heavy items or standing on your worksurface.
