The highly anticipated news was shared in a statement from Clarence House, before the pair made their first appearance as husband- and wife-to-be. ‘His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle,’ the statement read. ‘The wedding will take place in spring 2018.’

•TRIBUTE TO DI • Always keeping his mum Princess Diana close to his heart, Harry found a way to involve her in this milestone moment. ‘The little diamonds either side [of the ring] are from my mother’s jewellery collection to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together,’ Harry shares, adding that his mum and new fiancée would have been ‘thick as thieves’, if they had met. ‘I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me… [She] would’ve probably been best friends with Meghan. The trip away was an important turning point for their romance. ‘Taking that huge leap of only two dates and then going effectively on holiday together in the middle of nowhere and, you know, sharing a tent together and all that kind of stuff, it was
fantastic,’ he says. ‘It was absolutely amazing to get to know her as quickly as I did.’ Despite announcing their engagement just months after making their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto on September 25, the actress says she doesn’t feel their romance has moved at lightning speed. ‘I don’t think I would call it a whirlwind in terms of our relationship. Obviously, there have been layers attached to how public it has become after we had a good five, six months almost with just privacy, which was amazing,’ she explains. ‘We were able to have so much time just to connect, and we never went longer than two weeks without seeing each other, even though we were obviously doing a long-distance relationship… We made it work.’ Harry echoes that sentiment, sharing that they’ve spent a lot of time alone together in their 17 months of dating. ‘We had to sort of reverse the whole process and [have] cosy nights indoors in front of the television cooking dinner with it just being the two of us by ourselves in our little cottage, rather than going out for dinner and being seen in public,’ he explains. ‘It’s provided different opportunities and it’s made us a hell of a lot closer in a shorter space of time.’

OK! ROYAL NEWS The pair will tie the knot next year in the UK, and Meghan will spend the next few months learning the royal ropes. Luckily, she has future sister-in-law Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge to lend a hand. ‘She’s been wonderful,’ reveals Meghan – as has Prince William, who Harry says has been a ‘fantastic support’. Having finished her role on TV show Suits in November, Meghan will now focus on the charity work she and Harry so love. ‘It was really one of the first things we connected on… One of the first things we started talking about when we met was the different things that we wanted to do in the world, and how passionate we were about seeing change,’ Meghan says. ‘I think that’s what got date two in the books.’ With their engagement now official, Harry’s looking forward to working with his bride-tobe. ‘She’s capable of anything and together, as I said, there’s a hell of a lot of stuff and work that needs doing,’ he adds. ‘At the moment, for us it’s going to be making sure that our relationship is always put first. Both of us have passions for wanting to make change for good, and that’s where we’re going to spend most of our time, hopefully.’
‘I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me and I choose her,’ says Harry. ‘Whatever we have to tackle – together or individually – will always be us together as a team’

The duo appeared a little nervous as they began their first interview together, with Meghan clutching her fiancé’s arm for support. But it wasn’t long before the happy couple relaxed and began to divulge the details we’ve all been dying to know about their romance! Here, we share the best bits…

close friends were concerned about what effect the relationship would have on her, but adds they ‘also had never seen me so happy’. ‘I think also once my friends were able to really meet Harry, and my mum, who we’ve spent a lot of time with… it was just obvious that no matter what we were being put through that it was just temporary, and that we were going to be able to get through that,’ she tells. ‘It’s all been worth every effort.’
THEIR FIRST VACAY
Harry admits that after just two dates, he all but begged Meghan to join him on a trip to Africa. ‘I think it was about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana,’ he says. ‘We camped out with each other under the stars… she came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic… We had a chance to get to know each other.’

Having met Her Majesty ‘a couple of times’, Meghan says she’s honoured to have
seen a different side to the reigning monarch. ‘To be able to meet her through [Harry’s] lens… [has] been so important for me,’ she reveals. ‘She’s an incredible woman.’ And Harry says his grandmother’s beloved corgis took to Meghan straight away. ‘I’ve spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one walks in, absolutely nothing,’ he laughs.

Meghan and Harry have set up house at Kensington Palace’s Nottingham Cottage, where they spent quite a bit of time during the first few months of their relationship. ‘We were able to really get to know each Meghan and other that way, Harry are settled but also then to go in Nottingham and have friends Cottage, which was also the first over for dinner royal home for or to go to his Prince William and Duchess Kate family for tea,’ Meghan tells. Since then, there has been growing speculation that the pair are in fact engaged. appy, healthy and in the best shape of her life, Sam Frost couldn’t help smiling as she unveiled her bikini bod at Sydney’s Palm Beach recently. The 28-year-old beauty was glowing as she emerged from the water while shooting scenes for Home and Away. It’s a very different look for the star, who in 2016 was sporting a much thinner frame after dealing with some personal issues. ‘I reached breaking point,’ Sam explained earlier this year, after a very public split from Bachelorette beau Sasha Mielczarek, 31, followed by her stint on radio ending in June. ‘The trolls and the criticism were relentless.’ After hanging up her mic at 2DayFM, things began to turn around for Sam when she landed a role on Home and Away. She was thrilled, but the job forced the first-time actress to face her image issues head on. ‘I am comfortable in my body, but I’m quite shy about showing it. I’m
not a person who actively shows my bikini body… but I’m just going to have to challenge myself and go, “Alright, Sam, you’ve got to push through this barrier,”’ she explains. After coming off Blake Garvey’s series of The Bachelor, Sam found life in the public eye tough. ‘I knew I’d gained weight, but it didn’t bother me,’ she says of putting on 12kg on the reality show. ‘And now I am back to my normal weight, people are like, “Oh yuck, Sam’s too skinny, look at her ribs.”’ Now, Sam’s learnt to deal with it. ‘I started seeing [a psychologist] and I’ve seen her every week,’ she reveals. ‘Costs me a bloody fortune,’ she laughs – but, she adds, it’s ‘worth it.’ She also credits buying a place of her own for her changed outlook. ‘It has definitely made me have a different attitude towards 2017. I am like, “I need to own my space, keep moving forward and try not to let the little stuff bug me.”’ And Sam’s gig in Summer Bay isn’t the only thing making her smile these days. Enter new boyfriend and long-time friend Dave Bashford. ‘I haven’t been this happy in a long time,’ the star gushes. ‘It’s the most easy, effortless relationship. He’s got the same sense of humour as me. We’re just us.’

But since tying the knot in December, Margot Robbie’s career has been a whirlwind of nonstop work – with long filming schedules, press tours and running her own production company taking its toll on the star. ‘It’s hard. I’m sure a ton of people reading this have their own business and it’s so hard,’ the 27-year-old recently confessed. ‘Having a business is stressful and timeconsuming, but it’s incredibly rewarding.’ Between promoting I, Tonya, filming Dreamland and working in pre-production for Quentin Tarantino’s latest project, Margot’s had her work cut out for her. ‘There are obviously a lot of times where I’ll have a meltdown and go: “I can’t do it anymore,”’ she admits. ‘You miss out on a lot of things… It kind of hurts to sacrifice those things.’ And while Margot insists her soaring career is ‘also enormously satisfying’, insiders believe the actress’ tight schedule
is having an impact on her marriage. ‘Margot runs her own production company, and the pressure is on for her to capitalise on the heat around her building image,’ an insider exclusively tells OK!. ‘But it’s coming at a huge cost – Tom has barely worked since their wedding and is complaining that he never sees Margot.’ Although the newlyweds made the move from London to LA together to focus their attention on their joint production company, Lucky Chap Entertainment, Margot’s rising star status has meant a lot of time away shooting in different locations around the globe. And while her film schedule has been demanding, Margot says being on set is ‘100 per cent the greatest place to be’. ‘I have some friends who visit on set and they hate it and they can’t wait to leave, but I love it. Being on a film set is my favourite place; there’s nothing better,’ she reveals. Calls for the increasingly thin star to seek help have become more urgent after Tara revealed she now weighs a dangerously low 43kg. ‘She looks like a walking skeleton,’ says a witness, who saw the star days earlier at the LA premiere of The Tribes of Palos Verdes. ‘You can see that her hair is mostly falling out’ – a sure sign of undernourishment, experts say. Accredited practicing dietitian Melanie McGrice believes Tara is putting herself at risk of serious health complications. ‘For someone of her height [165cm], she should be between 50-68kg,’ says Melanie, who has not worked with Tara, 42. ‘Her photos suggest that she is clinically malnourished, which can damage her immune system and put her at risk of a whole range of medical conditions.’ Despite her increasingly fragile appearance, Tara denies she’s undergone any recent weight loss. ‘It’s the same weight,’ she insists. ‘I eat all the time. But this is just my natural weight and people need to leave me alone.’ Even so, Tara admits the strain of recent family tragedies have taken their toll. ‘My mum is really sick and dying right now. My father just passed away,’ she says. Sadly, the star’s ailing acting career is only adding to her family pain. While she’s enjoyed a modest resurgence thanks to the Sharknado film franchise, Tara has struggled to reclaim the success of her American Pie heyday. ‘I used to go to auditions with Tara Reid. So you know, we didn’t all make it,’ fellow
actress Elizabeth Banks has said. ‘A lot of us are surviving. Some of us are not.’ Tara has been open in the past about losing work after undergoing a botched breast augmentation and body contouring procedure that left her with a hernia. Last year, Tara made headlines when she walked out of a television interview with Jenny McCarthy, who made fun of her ‘wobbly knees’. Speaking up in Tara’s defence, comedian Amy Schumer called for actresses to be more supportive. ‘Be nice to other women, especially other women in this disgusting f---ing business, that’s all I can say,’ Amy said. Now the question is, will Tara accept the help she needs? ‘People come up to me all the time in LA,’ she says. ‘They’ll be like, “You’re too skinny. You need to eat more.”’ And while experts fear for her health, Tara maintains she isn’t the one with a problem. ‘I have never been anorexic and I don’t have an eating disorder,’ she insists. ‘If people think I’m in denial, I think they’re in denial. That’s just the truth. I’m not in denial and if they want to look at it that way, I can’t change their mind.’

The singer, who is believed to have secretly tied the knot with beau Liam Hemsworth recently, posted a snap of herself with what looked to be the beginnings of a pregnant tum – and fans were quick to notice. ‘Uhm… is that a baby bump?’ wrote one. ‘Come on! That belly can’t be from the thought of eating turkey for thanksgiving!!!’ another commented. ‘That’s [a] pregnant belly!’ The Malibu singer, who celebrated her 25th birthday on Thanksgiving, was quick

But her denial did little to stop the chatter of a potential Cyrus/Hemsworth bub. After all, just days earlier, Miley donned a loose-fitting dress for the first live rounds of The Voice US, with the coach keeping her stomach well concealed beneath layers of floaty pink fabric. ‘Hiding that baby bump,’ noted another fan. It wouldn’t be the first time Miley and Liam, 27, have played their cards close to their chests. The pair kept fans guessing about their engagement for months following their reunion in late 2015, with the singer posting pictures of herself wearing her old engagement ring from Liam. ‘People will figure it out, they already have… They’re not dumb,’ Liam later commented of their reconciliation.

not what they do. Just like I wouldn’t understand somebody who had a desk job and how to do that,’ the singer says. ‘I literally am incapable of being in the real world and surviving.’ But while the 47-year-old admits to having some ‘diva moments’, don’t go calling her one! ‘I come from a true diva: my mother is an opera singer. And that’s a real diva,’ she explains. ‘And so other people that are like, “I’m a diva,” it’s like, “Honey, you don’t know what a diva is.”’

Many believe Mariah simply lends her amazing voice to the track, but she actually has a lot more to do with the creative process! ‘We create the bed of music that I’m going to sing over [together],’ she says. ‘People don’t really get what that means unless you do it. They think, “OK, so she probably writes the lyrics.” No, I write the lyrics, the melody, and the music with [producers]. I’m not a piano player – I can play a little bit – but I really like to help mould whoever’s playing.’

Born in Huntington, New York, Mariah admits she always felt like an outsider. ‘Growing up different, being biracial, having the whole thing where I did not know if I fit in,’ she reveals. ‘That is why music became such a big part of my life, because it helped me overcome those issues.’ Her unique talent was something she discovered as a child when her mother woke her one morning and, for a laugh, she spoke to her as if she’d just inhaled helium. ‘And then there was a moment in the little kitchen – a tiny house, where we lived – when I started singing like that,’ she says. ‘It’s a totally different place in your voice.’ With her mother a classically trained opera singer, she immediately noticed her daughter’s extraordinary talent. So what did she say? ‘She said, “You’re going to hurt yourself,”’ Mariah laughs.

While Mariah lost contact with her father not long after her parents’ divorce in 1973, she says there wasn’t any bad blood between them and they eventually reconnected after years of being estranged. ‘I was grateful to be able to spend time with him before he got sick,’ she says of their reconciliation before his 2002 death from cancer. ‘It was unfortunate that I lost him so soon after.’ And despite also being estranged from her brother Morgan and sister Alison,

The pair’s first bub was born in LA on July 27. ‘I’m obsessed,’ said Whitney, 32, just days after giving birth. ‘I love Timmy and my family.’ But new motherhood hasn’t been a totally smooth ride for Whitney, who found fame
When Whitney announced her pregnancy in February, she didn’t hide the fact that physically, she wasn’t loving it. ‘I ended up gaining 40 pounds [18kg],’ she says, ‘Gaining the weight was really hard for me. I didn’t really want to get dressed. Everyday stuff was a stressful thing for me because I just hated how I looked.’ Whit admits she felt a little ‘superficial’ for caring about how her body was changing. ‘I constantly had to remind myself that my body was creating something wonderful, beyond my comprehension or sensibility. Towards the third trimester I started to become at peace with the weight gain and only cared about bringing a healthy baby into the world. And then it hit me… I’m about to push an eight-pound [3.6kg] baby out of a teeny little place and produce milk out of my once awesome boobs!’

Whitney has also been candid about her fears regarding how pregnancy would affect her sex life. The fact that she didn’t feel like sex – at all – during pregnancy surprised her. ‘It is so not for me! I feel so uncomfortable with my body that I can’t get into the mood,’ she admitted. Whitney confesses she was also worried her hubby wouldn’t find her attractive anymore. ‘[I wondered] if he would feel the same way about me. I thought a lot about if he was attracted to me, and that was hard because I was never insecure about that before.’ But Tim assured his wife of two years that no matter what, he was still attracted to her. ‘The physical stuff seriously didn’t bother me,’ he says. ‘I knew she would put on weight and her body would change and then it would change again. I mean, my body is changing and I have no real good excuse!’
Jeffrey – who died from kidney cancer in 2013 – is not around to meet his grandson. ‘I find myself missing him more and more,’ she says. ‘It’s unfortunate how such amazing times in one’s life, like getting married or having a baby, can be coloured with such darkness.’
THE BABY BUBBLE
Despite all the struggles that came with the pregnancy and the overwhelming emotion of finally meeting her newborn, Whitney loves being a mum. ‘We’ve all heard mothers give the same speech about how lifechanging the love for your baby is,’ she tells. ‘I guess I couldn’t actually connect to those exact feelings until the doctor placed Sonny onto my chest. I love him and feel protective over him, but more than anything, I’m just, like, obsessed.’

IT GOT EMOTIONAL
Whitney says she experienced a roller-coaster of feelings while she was pregnant and in the earliest days at home with Sonny. ‘I couldn’t control it,’ she says. ‘I kind of over-analysed everything. You start to really, really not be able to be in the present moment. You start to constantly plan and worry about things.’ Tim says it was tough to see Whit struggle – and to ride out her hormonal swings. ‘When Whit is in a bad mood, like anyone else, it’s not super fun to be around. She wasn’t just upset, then super happy at dinner; it was all the time and that was no fun for me.’ Whitney also says that Sonny’s arrival has brought home the fact that her father

HOW THE STAR IS SCULPTING HER POST-BABY BOD Whit’s turning to Pilates post-delivery to strengthen her core. ‘It’s not fair, but there is no quick fix for reconnecting your abs,’ says her trainer Ali Handley. ‘Consistency, patience and dedication to your progress is the only way.’ ‘It is the perfect stretching and lengthening exercise,’ the star says of Pilates
HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
Despite the on-screen dramas with her former Hills co-stars, the fashion designer and lifestyle blogger says she has nothing but fond memories of her time on TV. ‘It was a really, really cool opportunity,’ Whit says. ‘And all of us have been able to have such bright futures because of it… I’m really proud of everyone.’ Another reason Whitney looks back so fondly on her reality TV days is because it was when she fell for her baby daddy. ‘If I hadn’t done those shows I would have never met my husband, which is the most amazing thing!’ she says of Tim, who was a producer on The City. ‘We formed this really deep emotional connection. I always loved Timmy, from the moment I met him.’

A few positive words – such as, ‘I’m strong and healthy,’ or ‘I’m hot and I’m going to stay that way’ – will make it easier to crush temptation. Take a tip from Katherine Heigl, who started each day with a positive mantra to help shed her baby weight.

Fill up on something nourishing and healthy beforehand, and you’ll be far less likely to binge on party food, says dietitian Leslie Boncie. Eat something with a good balance of carbohydrates and protein (think Greek yoghurt with fresh berries) about an hour before you leave the house and you won’t even look at the party pies, sausage rolls or chips. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water – before and during the bash.

As it heats up, make the most of fresh seasonal produce
LAMB RACK WITH SOURDOUGH, LEMON & HERB CRUST INGREDIENTS
•500g baby potatoes, peeled, quartered •1⁄4 cup olive oil, plus 1 tbsp extra •2 cups sourdough breadcrumbs •1 tbsp thyme, finely chopped •1 lemon, grated zest •2 x 8-rib lamb racks, Frenched (see tip) •2 tbsp Dijon mustard •400g cherry truss tomatoes •Steamed peas, to serve METHOD
1 Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. 2 Combine potatoes and half the oil in a large baking tray. Toss to coat and season to taste. Bake for 20 minutes. 3 In a bowl, combine crumbs, remaining oil, thyme and zest. Season to taste and mix well. 4 Heat extra oil in large frying pan on high. Sear lamb for 4-5 minutes, all over. Cool slightly. 5 Spread one tablespoon of mustard over each rack. Then press crumb mixture firmly over meat side. Transfer to baking dish with potatoes. Bake for 15-20 minutes, for medium, or until cooked to taste. Add tomatoes to tray for final 10 minutes of cooking time. 6 Rest lamb, loosely covered with foil, for 10 minutes, before cutting into 2 rib pieces. GRILLED PRAWNS WITH ASPARAGUS & CANNELLINI PUREE INGREDIENTS
•2 x 400g cans cannellini beans, drained, rinsed •1⁄4 cup lemon juice •3 tbsp olive oil, plus 1⁄3 cup extra •1 garlic clove, crushed •2 tbsp sherry vinegar •1 tsp caster sugar •Pinch of saffron •1kg medium green prawns, peeled, deveined, tails intact •2 bunches asparagus, trimmed, blanched (see tip) •1 cup parsley leaves •Grilled flatbread, to serve
METHOD
1 In a food processor, combine beans, juice, 2 tablespoons of oil and garlic. Pulse until smooth and season to taste. 2 In a small jug, whisk extra oil, vinegar, sugar and saffron together. 3 Preheat a chargrill pan on medium. In a bowl, toss prawns in 1 tablespoon of oil. Chargrill prawns, 1-2 minutes each side. Transfer to new bowl and toss with asparagus and dressing. 4 Spoon puree onto a platter and top with prawns and parsley. Serve with flatbread.

Blanch asparagus by immersing in boiling water for 1 minute, then refreshing in cold water.
•2 x 250g punnets strawberries, washed, hulled •1 tbsp orange juice •1 tbsp caster sugar, plus 3⁄4 cup extra •3 eggs •1 tsp vanilla bean paste •300ml thickened cream, whipped to soft peaks •Mixed fresh berries and Persian fairy floss, to serve METHOD
1 In a food processor, combine strawberries, juice and sugar.
Puree until smooth. 2 In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat eggs, extra sugar and vanilla together until doubled in volume (about 5 minutes). Gently fold puree through, then whipped cream, making sure mixture is well combined. 3 Line a 6-cupcapacity loaf pan with plastic wrap. Pour mixture into pan. Cover and freeze for 4 hours or overnight. 4 When ready to serve, sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. Lift from pan using plastic wrap. Serve in slices with berries and fairy floss.
