2017 Production Interns with their supervisors

HVSF’s professional training programs (“Generation Next”) are immersive, summer experiences for early-career performers, designers, technicians, and managers that emphasizes hands-on work, mentorship, professional development, and collaboration.

Our ultimate goal is to create secure pathways to future employment for aspiring actors, production professionals, and administrators. And while most theater training programs are unpaid or charge tuition, participants receive an educational stipend and — in most cases — local housing, reducing barriers to employment in the arts for those in financial need.
