HYDE SCHOOL “Every individual has a unique potential that defines a destiny.” - Founder Joseph W. Gauld, 1966
H
yde was founded to strive to improve the current education system through an alternative approach that places value on a student’s effort over achievement, using a whole person philosophy to help the student develop his or her character and unique potential. Family-based character education practices and programs are woven throughout Hyde’s rigorous academic, athletic, and performing arts curriculum, allowing students to grow and learn in a supportive environment that embraces their families as part of the Hyde community.
Hyde helps each student develop his or her inner leadership, which we define as: • Self awareness • The presence to speak • The grit and confidence to go the distance when the going gets tough
School is for kids; Hyde is for families. Hyde’s parenting program is renowned for the transformative outcomes families experience.
