Gravity feed and mains pressure irrigation controllers

This unique system distributes water through millions of microscopic pores using durable DuPont Tyvek tubes, that resist the clogging, cracking and root intrusion problems common to other drip systems. These are ideal for longer runs in vegetable and flower beds and can be connected to the SOL-C12 (only half of the roll will be required) or SOL-C24 unit in up to 25 m lengths. Each 25 m roll comes with 2 adaptors, 2 connectors, 2 lengths of connector pipe, 2 O rings, 2 cable ties and 6 stakes.

The PLANT!T Water Timers can be used with mains water from a tap outlet or with a gravity feed system from a tank, waterbutt or reservoir. Simply select the time you want the water supply to be turned on and off, link up to your irrigation dripper line and the timer will do the rest.

It can also negatively affect beneficial bacteria in your system or substrate. The performance of a pH electrode or pH meter will change with time due to aging because as the electrode is used its coating degrades, to ensure it is working correctly, regular calibration is a must. If you are using your pH meter daily, you should calibrate it at least once a week.

To calibrate, use either VitaLink ESSENTIALS Buffer 4 or VitaLink ESSENTIALS Buffer 7. Using both of these buffer solutions will make your calibration more accurate. The temperature of your solution will also affect the pH value. ESSENTIALS pH Meter has automatic temperature compensation. VitaLink ESSENTIALS CF Calibration Fluid has CF 28 – EC 2.80 – PPM 1820 at 20˚C and is a necessary complement to your ESSENTIALS EC Meter.

Regular calibration is necessary to maintain accuracy of your EC meter. If you are using your EC meter daily, you should calibrate it at least once a week. When calibrating, it is necessary that your EC meter and your calibration fluid would have the same temperature. To achieve this, you can place them together in the same environment prior to performing calibration to allow them to reach the same temperature before you take measurements.

Guaranteed to do the job! We use virgin Australian RC412 carbon, widely considered to be one of the superior carbons for air filtration. 65% CTC carbon – this means the specification of RC412 carbon used takes on board 65% of its own density in volatile airborne molecules (smell).

The carbon filling process used in the manufacture of these filters includes inline drying and dehumidifying to make sure the carbon is in peak condition before the filter is compacted. We also use special expansion foam on the neck making sure that the compaction rate of the carbon remains high at all times. Lower quality filters have poor compaction, meaning volatile smells can escape before contact with the carbon. NOTE: Some filters use a sales gimmick stating you should switch the ends as the top of the filter gets used before the carbon at the base. When air is under pressure within the filter, this has been demonstrated to have no factual proof!

Filter Size

The RC412 carbon has a very low ash content of less than 13% and is a virgin granulated product. The granulated form of this carbon means it can be compacted very tightly leaving no air spaces where organic compounds (odours) can escape. RAM Carbon Filters feature a carbon pore size of 0.02 micron, which is very high in carbon specification. Basically, it means the carbon is far more absorbent to volatile organic smells and is more attractive to them making the odour element stick to them like glue and become absorbed.
