CRIES AND WHISPERS

Bipersonal Exhibition, ReinischContemporary, Graz, Austria, 2016. Curator: GüntherHoller-Schuster Musical Composer: Franz Jochum This exhibition was made alongside Austrian author Anton Petz, composing an installation of paintings, aquarelles, drawings and 17 sculptures. These were made from PREié drawings about the panoramic image of the gallery to evoke a 3D feeling of the drawing with a path of automatic writing. It was executed at the opening a sound presentation of an hour with 25 conservatory musicians, instrument players and a voice. The exhibition aimed to create sensibility within the audience about the political tension of the moment in a decaphonic and liberal environment. Austria was holding 2016 elections and the neo fascist threat disguised as nationalism lured a dangerous percentage of the population. Just as famous movie director Ingmar Bergman with full subjectivity talked about Cold War at his film Screams and Whispers, that´s the solution we found without engaging in any party´s position. We introduced the visitor into a state to provoke deep thoughts about the loneliness of the executor and the public hearing. Sound installation with 17 iron and aluminum sculptures. Action with 25 musicians including chorus of voices. Duration 1h
