The Eagles — who had never even won a sectional title — went all the way to the state tournament for the first time in school history.
The Lady Vikings girls basketball team earned league and sectional titles in 2012-13.

Versailles' Mitchell Stover competed in the Division II state swim meet, earning a fourth place finish in the 200 meter IM and fifth in the backstroke event.
Ike Karn practiced his dives at the Miami County YMCA last month as he prepared to represent Piqua in state diving competition. The freshman brought home a 20th place finish.

The Piqua Varsity Cheerleader's competition team earned the first-ever trip to state for a Piqua cheer team. The girls placed 20th overall out of more than 160 teams. The Russia Cheerleaders dance team competed at the state level in OASAA cheer/dance competition, ultimately placing 9th in their division.
Piqua's Ivee Kaye qualified for the state gymnastics meet in both All-Around and Uneven bars.
