Fairmont St Andrews, Scotland The Scottish kingdom of Fife is home to the birthplace of golf as well as the 520-acre, five-star Fairmont St Andrews. Set along the rugged Fife coastline, the hotel recently reopened following a multi-million-pound redevelopment of its event spaces, restaurants, 211 guestrooms and Kingdom of Fife presidential suite overlooking the resort’s two championship golf courses. The Torrance Course, a par 72 measuring 7,230 yards, is designed in Scottish links style with classic revetted bunkers and broad greens.
