Scotland & Ireland Golf Expedition No two countries are as synonymous with golf as Scotland and Ireland – the home of the modern game. Today more than a dozen of the world’s top 100 courses can be found in this region. This new expedition golf voyage combines true golfing pedigree, of which One Ocean Expeditions is proud to match with the agility, advanced capability and comfort of its new expedition ship, RCGS Resolute. The voyage begins in Dublin, setting sail for the west coast of Scotland, passing the picturesque islands of Islay, Mull and Skye, and playing the fairways at the hidden gems of Macrihanish and Askernish. The ship also sails west to hit the links at Ballyliffin in Ireland. Further north it spends a day in the Orkney Islands before sailing south to Inverness, where guests have access to two outstanding courses. At Aberdeen they find themselves on the doorstep of both Cruden Bay and the Royal Aberdeen, the final courses before the journey ends in Edinburgh.
Relax and enjoy the views Not only does the shipboard accommodation negate the need for constant packing and unpacking, guests also enjoy breathtaking views and convenient access to the golf courses, as they are shuttled effortlessly via Zodiac from one to the next. Expect the same comprehensive range of great activities available on all of One Ocean Expeditions' voyages, for golfers and non-golfers alike. There will be fantastic opportunities to soak up the spectacular scenery, sample great local cuisine, enjoy whiskey tasting, and be immersed in the local culture and history. Revel in wildlife experiences and try sea kayaking, cycling and stand-up paddle boarding. Not only that but all green fees, accommodation and activities are included in the voyage fare.
