For IAGTO a Convention is just one of many tools that we create to help showcase golf destinations and put our buyers and suppliers together to do business. So it is just as important for us to support our members in the 360 days between each NAC, so please use this opportunity to meet with Daniella, Callum, Giles, Carlton and myself to ensure that you make best use of our services for the next 12 months! One of the joys of last year’s NAC was the opportunity that it provided for us to get tour operators selling the USA down to Mississippi, many for the first time. Equally this year we aim to demonstrate not only that Florida’s Paradise Coast has some of the finest courses in the country along with expansive white sandy beaches, but that there are many courses here open and eager for IAGTO operator business. We have evening functions for you every day which are important not only for further networking but also for showcasing the destination that your clients will be able to enjoy. Thursday is a free night and you will have the opportunity to stroll along Fifth Avenue in central Naples with its art galleries and array of gourmet restaurants; then later you can join us for drink at McCabe’s Irish Pub which is also along Fifth Avenue. USEFUL INFORMATION Speed-dating - Supplier meets Buyer Buyers will be seated at the tables at 09:00 on Thursday. Suppliers will then have 90 minutes to visit buyers who they do not have appointments with. The objective is for both supplier and buyer to introduce themselves to each other and to see if there are opportunities for future business. If you need time for a more detailed meeting, try to schedule an appointment, but if you do not have an available spot, then carry on talking!
Buyer meets Supplier Sessions The pre-scheduled appointments are only to get things started! The buyers without full appointment diaries will have time for additional meetings during these sessions. Last year most suppliers managed an average of 40 really useful meetings during the course of the Convention. If you are trying to find a particular buyer, or new to IAGTO, please do not hesitate to ask IAGTO staff and your fellow members who will be more than happy to help. The scheduled meetings are for 15 minutes so please keep an eye on the plasma screens for the appointment number and listen out for the bell.
Presentations & Seminars All delegates should go to the Salon F & G by 18:30 on the Wednesday evening. There will be presentations for the buyers from our sponsors. After an IAGTO Briefing to all suppliers we will hold a discussion forum for our North American, Latin American and Caribbean members.
Welcome Networking Reception This is located on the Tiki Terrace of the hotel the dress code is informal and this is a great opportunity for you to meet with old friends and meet many of our new members. Food and drinks will be provided.
Naples 5th Avenue Dine-Around On Thursday evening coaches will be available to take you to Naples where you are free to dine-around along 5th Avenue. From 21:00 you are free to come and join the IAGTO team at McCabe’s Irish Pub also situated on 5th Avenue. Shuttle transportation will run from 22:30.
Table Set Up Suppliers can set up their tables between 08:00-09:00 on Thursday morning. You are welcome to put up ‘pop up displays’ as long as they do not interfere with your neighbours or obstruct the walkways.
Internet & Electric Points There is internet access in the meeting room. We have provided every supplier table with an electric point, free of charge.
Golf Tournament We will post the pairings for the Golf Tournament on Thursday morning in the main meeting room. We will be playing the usual IAGTO team format where the best two Stableford scores on each hole are counted.
