Public relations and communications Co-ordinator PR manager and Head of Communications .
To assist with the execution of the PR strategy including external and internal PR. To ensure focus is maintained on core PR objectives. And media coverage. Operational role. Skills and knowledge used in securing media coverage and executing PR strategy.

2. Writing

Establishing and maintaining relationships with traditional and digital media contacts. To be available and accessible to the media for all queries. To respond quickly and effectively to media queries. To ensure media deadlines are met. To set up interviews/photoshoots as required, with talent and to ensure talent is well briefed for the interview/shoot. Media management before, during and after station events. Writing press releases. Tailoring pitches and stories to target particular media. Writing profiles on stations, shows, presenters as required Writing features, columns and advertorials Offer writing support to any department that requires it.
3. Maintain a strong network of suppliers

Build a network of photographers, make-up artists, caterers and decorators. Work closely with these suppliers to ensure optimal results. Maintain open communication with suppliers to ensure they understand the objectives of the project, deadlines etc.
4. Abide by the formula

Abide by the principles of Primedia Broadcasting’s formula in all work and business relationships.
5. Be accessible to all staff

Assist other departments and staff with internal events. . . Celebrate special occasions with staff in a fun, creative way. Execute internal PR campaigns. Ability to establish good working relationships with staff.

Writing and editing Min of 2 yrs Experience working in Media and PR.
Writing skills essential. Competence in Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint Active social networker especially Facebook and Twitter Design/layout proficiency desirable. Management of time Management of multiple tasks Proactive and self-motivated Develop long-term relationships with the Media. Have the ability to give and take open and frank feedback Ability to prepare documentation, and reports Listen and understand partner objectives Being clear, focused and understandable in all communication
