Job Objective: To induct, train, coach and assess cinema staff and management around vocational competencies required in terms of respective job descriptions. To conduct on-the-job training needs analysis, facilitate on-job learning programmes and maintain related training administration. To assist line management with coaching and training of employees to ensure staff are equipped to meet and exceed customer expectations. Qualifications/Experience: • Grade 12 • Post Matric qualification in Education and Training / HR Development plus 2 years corporate vocational training experience • Alternatively 5 to 7 years corporate vocational training / technical training experience in the retail / hospitality industry • Qualified assessor • Formal SETAqualification Competencies: • Strong interpersonal skills (Building and maintaining relationships, cross cultural awareness) • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication • Facilitation skills • Coaching • Presentation • Assessment • Learning material design Roles and Responsibilities: • Planning of vocational training cinema management and front-line staff. • Conducting in-cinema training workshops on customer service, business procedures, cinema operating / information systems, SOPs,and products. • Coaching learners on-the-job. • Ensuring that learners achieve the required competence levels within reasonable time frame parameters • Working with management to foster a learning culture within the organisation • Training administration – reporting on Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) implementation progress, maintaining attendance registers, completing assessment sheets, filing, and attending Training Committee meetings • Measuring and monitoring productivity indicators (KPI’s) as a means of assessing individual performance in accordance with best practice • Remaining fully conversant with all the Operations BPM’s and amendments in order to adapt coaching and assessing practices accordingly – incumbent will be an integral member of the cinema management team, but will not be required to assume line accountability for cash or stock.
