LOGO The logo design is simple and to the point. It references the demographics of our target participants and the purely sharing community and the icon is derived from the negative space between the two letter ‘A’s.

USERS BAADS allows students from the art and design department at UWE’s Bower Ashton to create an account on the website and upload their assignment outcomes as well as personal works instantly in the form of images, videos and texts. It is also integrated with Facebook to allow direct log in without signing up to avoid wasted time.

POSTS The works that are uploaded by our users will be displayed on the main homepage and individual categorised pages in a gallery post format. It displays four in a row as it provides the right amount of variety and clarity of the images.

BOOKSHELF The bookshelf is a great way to showcase a list of our users publications. Integrated with ISSUU, the website utilises Stacks to organise publications by university course category, level and contests. It also utilistes shelf as showcase on the website for visual appeal and efficient way of encouraging instant reading.

TV TV is a page that showcases the best and most popular videos and films done by the users and is projected on the full-width slider.

FORUM The forum is one method of getting our users to collaborate with one another. It promotes open discussion about their disciplines and advice regarding university and careers.

EVENTS Weekly art and design sessions, social gatherings, exhibitions and excursions to museums can be held to maintain engagement and is posted through the ‘Events’ page so users can instantly RSVP.

COMMENTS Open comments can be left anonymously or publicly on individual user’s work to provide postive feedback or constructive criticism for improvement. This allows the user to get instant feedback as well as communicate directly with their audience.

RATINGS Ratings are located below every post so anyone (public or users) and vote on their favourite works. The high rated ones will be catalogued into the ‘Popular’ page and the most popular works can be organised into a ‘BAADS’ publication and printed for sale and distibution.

ETIQUETTE To ensure trust and safety, it is important for users to abide by a set of rules and regulations. This informs users on how to behave on our website and also informs them about our policies and terms of use.

EXPANSION In the future, dedpending on the success of the platform, BAADS can expand to include disciplines outside the arts and design department. Examples are Business, Law, History and Humanities. It can also grow to includes other universities as well.
