Landscape under the via-duct WHY DO WE NEED ? To make a greener, vibrant, healthier & aesthetically pleasing customizable landscapes which adds life to different parts of this city. And setting a mile-stone to world standards.
WHAT DO WE NEED ? 72 kms stretch, will need energy efficient & sustainable solutions which would reduce carbon foot-print at the time of construction, reduce sound, air & water pollution and enhance the living standards.
iammies Landscapes www.iammies.in
We need 2,300* of such unique beautiful spaces which makes lives better.

The possibilities are endless iammies Landscapes www.iammies.in
1. A sustainable landscape should require minimal resource inputs. 2. Thus, the design must be “functional, cost-efficient, visually pleasing, environmentally friendly and maintainable. 3. Preservation of limited and costly resources, reducing waste and preventing air, water and soil pollution. 4. Less use of compost, fertilization, pest control & minimal use of chemicals, integrated pest management. 5. Using the right plant in the right place, appropriate use of turf, irrigation efficiency, water-wise gardening are all components of sustainable landscaping.

1. CORTEN STEEL 1. “Corten steel”, is a group of steel alloys which is weather resistant steel. 2. Its chemical composition promotes the early formation of an adhering protective layer of rust when exposed to the elements 3. It eliminates the need for painting because of a stable rust-like appearance. 4. The more it rusts, the more protective the coating is and looks appealing.
SO WHY USE CORTEN STEEL ? 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
Aesthetics Cost-Effective Availability Sustainable. Lasts Long Customizable. Portable Vandal proof Maintainable.
(Adds beauty to the metro line) (12-16mm thick 2500X12000mm = 63000 RS/T) (It is readily available) (If damaged, it can be recycled easily) (The Planter structure will last long) (Any shape, any size) (Easy to install at site) (It is Rusty, so nothing sticks to it) (NO Maintenance at all)

2. GLASS REINFORCED CONCRETE (G.R.C) 1. It is a composite of Portland cement, fine aggregate, water, acrylic co-polymer, glass fiber reinforcement and additives. The glass fibers reinforce the concrete. 2. GFRC is a lightweight, durable material that can be cast into nearly unlimited shapes, colors and textures. 3. The glass fiber reinforcement results in a product with much higher flexibility and tensile strengths than normal concrete.
BENEFITS OF (G.R.C) 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Highly durable and safe Design freedom since GFRC is able to be molded into almost any shape and color Requires very low maintenance Installation is quick and cost effective Weather and fire resistant Economical Energy efficient

1. The Idea is to have an all season COST-EFFECTIVE plantation scheme. 2. They should be hardy in nature, its competency to water availability, Soil requirement, and resistance to draught & air pollution. 3. These plants are perennial & be sustaining to water pH between 5.5 and 8.5 4. Usage of aesthetically pleasing plants, colorful, vibrant, eco-friendly, less leaf-shedding & maintainable. 5. Some seasonal variety are also recommended to add color. 6. Plantation and bio-diversity should go hand-in-hand. 7. Apart form the native plants, we may have to add exotic plants which are adaptable to local conditions to bring bio-diversity. iammies Landscapes www.iammies.in

1. Absolutely NO maintenance on Corten planter boxes. 2. Watering may vary from season to season a. Summer Thrice a week b. Winter Twice a week c. Rainy Once a week & no water during rainy days. (By adding 60% soil, 20% sand, rest 20% organic manure, we may conserve moisture)
3. Pruning and shaping of plants - whenever required. 4. Spraying of pesticides and fungicides - fortnightly intervals & depends on pest infection. 5. Pulverization, aeration and cleaning of beds - once in week. 6. Manuring – once in three months. 7. Weeding and cleaning – once a week. 8. Gap plantation – as and when required. 9. Washing of plants – once a week. 10. Training of creepers – twice in a month.
