ON E STOP SHOW FOR TYRES AND WO Positive signs for tyre industry economy as exhibitors sign-up for Brityrex 2010 ECI International has confirmed healthy new bookings for the show from a broad cross-section of domestic and international tyre and automotive specialists. Managing director Paul Farrant says: “There’s no doubt that the market in general is feeling more positive about future prospects than it was six months ago. Speaking to many businesses of all sizes in the tyre, equipment and accessories sectors, it’s clear there is a willingness to consider investing in exhibitions and promotion. That confidence is refreshing and bodes well for Brityrex as well as day-to-day business activity.” Among the latest companies to commit to Brityrex Int’10 are Daly Tyres, the Irish distributor that has recently opened a new wholesale division in Stoke-on-Trent. This will concentrate on distribution of Taiwanese brand Kenda. With Brityrex specialising in garage equipment and machinery as well as its core tyre market, the news that the Garage Equipment Association (GEA) has agreed to exhibit further strengthens the show’s appeal. GEA
member and well-known alignment supplier Supertracker will also be at the show. The company is planning to introduce two new aligners at Brityrex, models that will enhance the existing product range, which has sold more than 11,000 wheel aligners in the UK. A new name for Manchester 2010 will be Norbar Torque Tools, the UK-based world leader in the manufacture of torque wrenches, torque multipliers and calibration equipment and services. Chinese manufacturers and wholesalers continue to recognise the sales potential of the UK market, with StarTyre representing no-less than 23 brands. Shandong Wanda Boto will exhibit its ranges of OTR, truck and bus tyres while Zhengxing (wheels) and Ningbo Junda (valves and accessories) are two more newly-confirmed exhibitors. Brityrex International 2010 will again be sponsored by the NTDA, which will hold its popular annual dinner and TAFF Industry Awards alongside the event.

Pro-Align supports Brityrex 2010 “In the current economic climate the industry needs to pull together, with associations supporting suppliers, suppliers supporting customers and customers supporting suppliers and what a better opportunity than at Brityrex 2010. An ideal springboard event in what we all hope will be the road to recovery year!” This is the view of Pro-Align, who is the latest company to sign up for the show. “For Pro-Align, Brityrex 2007 proved good for business and we certainly look forward to all that Brityrex 2010 promises.” Confirms Pro-Align’s Kathryn Beaurain. Pro-Align have told us that since the last show, interest in the Hunter Imaging Alignment System has been growing significantly, year on year. Hunters latest HawkEye Imaging System offers speed, accuracy and ease of use, which Pro-Align says has always played an important part in its popularity but it is also the low cost of ownership, overall quality and great return on investment that adds to its appeal. Even in a recession! “Wheel Alignment has proved to be a recessionary life line for so many retail businesses. Until the downturn and loss of revenue in some areas, retail tyre businesses hadn’t truly appreciated the income and profit opportunities four wheel alignment offered them. With the right equipment, the right mind set and guidance we have proven our ‘Profitability through Alignment’ campaign was not just sales talk! Confirms Pro-Align’s Kathryn Beaurain. “Now that retail tyre trade is looking at equipment in a different light, - not just as an ‘means to an end’, we hope visitors to Brityrex, will consider the other ‘unique’ wheel servicing business opportunities that Pro-Align and Hunter can offer them. After a period of economic retraction, comes post-recession growth and businesses will certainly be planning for this. Brityrex 2010 is therefore well positioned to provide the showcase of all that is new and innovative as well as providing a great place for networking. www.pro-align.co.uk
