Tyrexpo Africa 2012 setting records with six months to go International interest in the southern Africa tyre industry is helping to set new records for next year’s Tyrexpo Africa 2012 exhibition. With six months to go before the show opens its doors at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, the show is already three quarters full with exhibitors from Africa and around the tyre and equipment world. The unprecedented demand for exhibition space is a reflection of the business opportunities in southern Africa, as suppliers look to expand or establish their presence in the market. “Tyrexpo Africa is now established as a high quality event that brings together suppliers and buyers in a focused trade-only environment where business gets done,” explains Paul Farrant from organisers ECI International. “The response to next year’s exhibition has been exceptional, with many companies choosing to return to the event after a successful show in 2010 and many more attending for the first time as they look to make contacts and establish a presence in the market.” One of the show’s biggest attractions is that it brings together companies from across the tyre, equipment and accessories market. Over three days visitors can meet with tyre manufacturers, wholesalers, retreading and repair companies, wheel suppliers, workshop equipment specialists and suppliers of tools and consumables. “If you are looking for a new tyre brand, want to talk to a wholesaler or replace a tyre changer, you can do it all at Tyrexpo Africa. No other trade show can offer the range of contacts and variety of exhibitors,” says Paul Farrant. For example, visitors can meet familiar South African companies such as Tubestone, Tyrecor, Rema Tip Top, Hofmann Megaplan, Richards Bay Tyres, the Bandag licensee, Beltyre, the Belshina distributor for Africa, Chemvulc, Launch Technologies, Leader Tread, Wheelquip and Nitralife amongst many others. But there will also be a strong international presence launching new products and brands to the market, many for the first time, from suppliers in India, Australia, Europe, China, Singapore, Thailand and many others.
