New grantees

For the first round of 2022, 22 emerging artists were awarded $209,180 in grants. Our latest grantees will travel to 10 different countries, including Iceland, Greece andAustria, undertaking professional development programs in areas such as information experience design and orchestral performance.

JosieAlexandra is a multi-disciplinary and experimental artist whose queer, trans, and neurodiverse identity informs their artistic efforts to create new understandings and narratives of the world around them.

ACulturalTrust grant will support Josie in undertaking a three-month residency to develop and show work in the exhibitions 'SEAS(22)' and 'Timeless Light' at the Ionian Centre ofArt and Culture, Kefalonia, Greece.

Laura Jackson is an emerging writer and performer whose passion for strong female narratives is channelled through her storytelling. Laura’s practice speaks to women’s experiences in the modern world, delving into street harassment, domestic violence, online privacy, and fertility
