The DAHON website is the hub where all relevant information can be accessed. It is an important resource and integrated live community page, useful for those familiarizing themselves with DAHON. The website also provides support as well as FAQS, manuals and the option to register your DAHON bike; which provides further benefits to the consumer. The Content Management System allows for each country website to have individualized content; with their own bike range for their market, news, promotions and community feeds, and dealer locater. It is easy to implement and partners can setup their own page quickly, efficiently and cost effectively. CMS is simple to manage and requires no dedicated skills.

SOCIAL MEDIA DAHONâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s success on social media is spectacular, and is an important marketing tool reaching a large percentage of users and showcasing the brands popularity. A Facebook page and a Twitter account, alongside Youtube, Flickr and Pinterest; each of these sites represent DAHON in different ways. Through likes, shares and retweets, DAHON maintains a very large and popular presence. All markets are represented and urged to integrate as part of this strategy. Sharing pictures and stories through social media is just one of the ways in which DAHON spreads its message and products. It shows how committed and enthused customers are about their DAHONâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, and they in turn become part of the DAHON story. The stories and pictures posted on these websites shows the power that social media has, connecting the brand with the consumer on a far more personal level.

DAHON was founded on the idea of creating a greener more sustainable form of transport, and as such it remains a key element of everything we as company do. Creating a form of transport that is environmentally conscious whilst also promoting a healthier lifestyle is central to DAHON’s message. As the idea of ‘going green’ becomes more attractive to people and businesses, DAHON’s cause becomes more attractive. By applying a green aspect across all of our communication efforts, we reinforce our green message.

Turn a New Leaf is a cause related initiative which aims to promote a greener more sustainable future, in addition to raising awareness about the environment. By making a pledge to reduce your CO2 production through a variety of means, you can really make a difference. This is the message. Due to the simplicity of the idea of Turn A New Leaf, it is something which can be easily promoted in a variety of ways, and in different regions.

“Express Your Personality” was launched in 2011 to better express the individuality of DAHON and its range of bicycles. By identifying with a particular model, a consumer is expressing their own personality, identifying with the model and the brand, thus creating a closer link. The campaign’s characters represent different ethnicities, age groups and styles and have become the common brand association for DAHON. As a result of its success, “Express Your Personality” has been carried over into 2014 as our lead advertising campaign. DAHON will work closely with its partners to tailor the campaign for their specific market needs. This will include creating advertising text that captures the country’s unique flavor, dialect and culture. DAHON will further support their partners through local PR efforts that tie into the company’s overall communications strategy.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

To maximize sales and strengthen the DAHON band, all partners must share similar passion for DAHON and show their excitement for the products. Active promotional and communication strategies are key in attaining maximum exposure for the brand, which translates into increased sales and brand popularity.

We are offering the DAHON marketing rebate (50% co-op program) to our partners to encourage active advertising. As a part of this program, you can receive a reimbursement of up to 50% for advertising costs, providing the amount is less than or equal to 2% of your total advertising turnover with DAHON products. Patented Dalloy Aluminum offers 20% more frame strength than those made of 6061 aluminum. Double-butted Dalloy tubes are thicker at the ends – where welding takes place and stress is highest –but thinner toward the center to minimize weight.

A quality steel frame, built to last a lifetime, is still the choice of many discerning cyclists. DAHON uses drawn 4130 Chromoly steel exclusively. 60% stronger than high tensile steel, our Chromoly tubing is thinner and significantly lighter – weighing less than many aluminum frame bikes from other manufacturers.

A quality bicycle starts with a quality frame. Our high tensile steel frames are built with high carbon steel that has higher tensile strength and allows us to minimize material. TIG welding ensures that the joints will hold up for years of riding, folding or whatever life throws your way.

LOCKJAW HINGE The perfect hinge is strong, light and virtually invisible. With the LockJaw, we have come very close. Bikes equipped with the LockJaw Hinge look like regular bikes â&#x20AC;&#x201C; you have to get up really close to see the difference. The LockJaw operates with a 6 mm Allen tool: a half turn opens the hinge; a half turn back locks it securely. With LockJaw, you get folding convenience in standard bike format. HYDROFORMING Hydroforming technology shapes aluminum into strong, complex but lightweight shapes â&#x20AC;&#x201C; ones that would be impossible with traditional forming techniques. In this process, an aluminum tube is placed into a negative mold. Hydraulic fluid is then forced at very high pressures into the mold, causing the aluminum to conform to the space. Scheduled Maintenance Proper care of your DAHON bicycle requires regular maintenance, inspection, and adjustment. New bicycles must be assembled and adjusted by an authorized DAHON reseller. Upon every ride DAHON bicycles should be inspected for properly tensioned folding latches, free play, as well as changes in ride quality. Any change should be checked and adjusted before riding. If you are unsure about a function or use of your DAHON bicycle, return to your authorized DAHON reseller for instruction. This includes foldin g, unfolding, adjustment, shifting, and braking. 3 months after purchase your DAHON bicycle must be returned to your original authorized DAHON reseller for inspection and adjustment. Yearly maintenance at bicycle owner’s expense is required. A warranty claim may not be considered without proper maintenance records.

DAHON Lifetime Warranty (excluding China) We warrant our bicycle frames, handle posts and rigid forks for as long as the original purchaser owns the bicycle to be free of defects in materials and workmanship. In addition we warrant all non-wear components for a period of one year. Certain individual component warranties and local law may supersede this warranty

policy. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective frame, handlepost, fork or component, and is the sole remedy of the warranty. This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser of the bicycle and is non-transferable. This warranty only covers DAHON bicycles sold through authorized DAHON resellers, and maintained per the Scheduled Maintenance explained above. Your warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, stunt riding, commercial use, improper assembly or maintenance, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible, installation of power systems such as engines or electric motors, damage due to accident, weather or neglect, or modification of the bicycle. A defect in material or workmanship is defined as; “A flaw, failure or cosmetic blemish caused by the manufacturing process or material that was not consistent with the original design”. This warranty implies no strength or fatigue value beyond regional government standards. This warranty does not mean “indestructible” as all materials can fail if pushed beyond design and

manufacturing limits. Wear items are defined as; Tires, Tubes, Brake pads, Brake and gear cables and housing, Chains, gears, grips, and saddles. All of these items are subject to varying wear life depending on use, load, weather, road conditions etc. Premature wear or “defect” will be taken into account in any warranty claim involving a wear item. Exclusions: • All damage resulting from Commercial use, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or from anything other than normal and ordinary use of the bicycle. • For all damage resulting from off road or stunt riding, multiple passengers, or cargo hauling. • DAHON bicycles sold in mainland CHINA have a 5 year warranty and are nontransferrable outside of mainland China.

Making a Warranty Claim You must register your DAHON bicycle online with our warranty department before any claim can be made. Your dealer can help you or provide you the DEALER CODE. You should bring your DAHON bicycle to your original reseller if possible. If this is not possible, please consult our website www. dahon.com/mainnav/store-finder.html to find your nearest DAHON authorized reseller All DAHON warranty claims must be made through an Authorized DAHON reseller. Proof of purchase, the complete bicycle, photos of the complete bicycle condition, serial number, and detail photos of the component in question must accompany all warranty claims. All shipping and transport costs are the responsibility of the bicycle owner. Labor costs beyond what your original reseller offers are the responsibility of the bicycle owner. All warranty claims are subject to assessment by DAHON. Warranty replacement will not be given for components not returned (if requested) to DAHON.
