ince her first participation in The Winner Awards 2019, hosted at the Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown, NY, Anaida Deti, who was one of Canada’s promising businesswomen in dentistry, also became in 2020 one of the most awarded and successful. As an Albanian, she immigrated with a few hundred dollars and a big dream, which with dedication and love has become a modern, sophisticated, spa-like oral health center. “I 06
worked seven days a week while going to school full time. After a few years of finishing school and getting my licence as a registered dental hygienist, I founded DentalX in 2013. DentalX started with only me, booking appointments in my car and seeing patients in the late afternoons or Sundays after I worked all day for other dental offices. Now I have about 12 staff members and we work Monday to Saturday” shares Anaida Deti. She has also participated in projects to help kids in need of dental care, as a speaker IBMAGAZINE.ORG

in several conventions and seminars, is a blogger for three media vehicles, was honoured in awards around the world, featured in television and magazines articles and has many more projects ahead. With everything being said, we conducted an exclusive interview with Anaida Deti, who gave us more details about her thoughts on female entrepreneurship, and the experiences that made her an inspiration for women in the dental industry. What made you fall in love with the profession? I wanted to be a dentist since I was a little girl. The dental profession somehow fascinated me and that feeling grew a lot more as I got older. On the other hand, I was also terrified going to the dentist. Let’s say going to the dentist back home was not fun at all. My first dental appointment was when I was 7 years old and what I remember from that appointment is I was scarred for life. My next dental appointment was a decade later and I went only because I was in extreme tooth pain. I always used to say to myself that when I become a dentist, I will make sure that the patients look forward to their dental appointments. And that was the biggest thing for me all these years, making sure that my patients look forward to their dental appointments.
women? It is an amazing feeling! I have worked very hard to be where I am, so I really apprec iate when people tell me that I inspire them. I really believe that you can achieve anything with hard work and determination. I try to help whoever asks for my help as much as I can with my experience and knowledge. What is the importance for you in having a team of women and the space that female entrepreneurship has been conquering in the business world? I am a big feminist and I love women power. I think all together we can change the world. I really believe that women have a special power in them. We can multitask so well that it is unbelievable. We do not have it easy, we have to take care of the family, house and business that is not an easy thing to do, even though we make it look like it is n o t h i n g and we do it day in and day out without getting
tired. I have had some good examples of strong women in my life, starting from my mother and my mother in law that have shown me that women can do anything. We need to love each other and support each other. Do you have any professional wishes or experience that you have not yet fulfilled? If so, which one? My big dream is to open more offices throughout the province. Actually, I am in the process of opening my second location. I want to help as many people as I can to beat the scare of the dentist. Which clinical case performed by you has a special meaning and why? I love to help the community as much as I can, so I think the free dental work we have done in the community has a very special meaning for me. Helping people smile is the best thing I can do.

For the director, employing people and making a difference in their lives is what has made her very happy and fulfilled. Knowing that all the clinic’s work is being recognized in the market brings motivation to remain firm in the initial purpose and to innovate more and more without losing the essence. Every family goes through this period where children are vaccinated monthly. As a health professional, I chose to deal with the “good” area of health: prevention. what motivated me. I noticed that people often failed to get vaccinated out of fear. The children were also afraid and cried a lot. In addition to the PNI calendars, we also have the calendars of the SBIM (Sociedade Brasileira de Imunização) which expands the protection for some diseases. ith more than 11 years of history, Grupo Gera is a reference in management in the area of occupational health and assistance in the Midwest region, with about 120 employees and 20 thousand services per month. Having as their main objective the quality of the services provided, Gera Medicina do Trabalho, since its foundation, values service excellence, to offer tranquility to the employer and well-being to employees, always aiming at the humanization of service. Thus, the result could not be different, the mark of more than 100 thousand registrations made. Grupo Gera has a very broad profile of customers in the Agribusiness, Transport, Industry, and Commerce segments. It also serves a 60% market share in the occupational and assistance areas, where the client’s focus is: health plan, discount agreement, and private service.
TIMELINE 2009 Its history began with the occupational clinic, when it started its activities on August 24, 2009, in a modest structure where it functioned with three rooms, reception, and service. During that period, the clinic had only two employees and a doctor. The average monthly attendance was 30 patients. 2014 In June, the clinic opened its new headquarters in an area built in its own 1100m² building, with a modern structure and the latest equipment. 2015 Earlier this year the company became a Group after acquiring a clinic with more than 20 years of tradition in Mato Grosso. The Somed brand became part of the Grupo Gera and, with a restructuring, expanded its service even further, using the same pillars as the beginning. 2018 Another company was acquired in the occupational field, Clinimed also became part of the Gera Group. That same year, a branch was opened with a focus on psychology and mental health, Geramed. 2021 This year comes with news! The Group has a plan to expand the current units to meet the growing demand for services, in addition to the opening of two new units.

r. Roberta Rodrigues’ professional success story began to be written in 2008 with her graduation in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo FORP-USP. Since then, she has been adding knowledge by taking postgraduate courses, including the area of Orthodontics, Implantology, and aesthetics. According to Roberta Rodrigues, the fascination with entrepreneurship and innovation, the use of high technology, and service excellence have always been present in his career since the beginning. After a voluntary work trip to Egypt, the dentist and entrepreneur started to think about developing a broader job without having to travel so much to the appointments, she already used the technology of Invisible Aligners in the office. The beginning of the Pandemic triggered the need to effectively assist patients remotely, it was then that she introduced artificial intelligence to treat cases of smile alignment from a distance. Roberta explains that for the teeth alignment, the first online consultation is carried out, to dis-
cover the client’s complaints and desires, and then a series of exams, that can be done in the city or country where he is, including a digital scan of the teeth is requested. This scanning turns the smile into a virtual model, in possession of the patient’s 3D smile, a software is used that, with the help of artificial intelligence, moves the teeth virtually until they are aligned according to the professional’s desire. After approvals together with the patient, several transparent and removable plates are made in a 3D printer, they are changed by the user and professionally monitored every three weeks until the smile is perfect. The increasing search for this type of treatment provided the expansion of the clinic’s professional staff to maintain the in-person dental treatments. “In 2021 we inaugurated an even bigger Clinic, being a reference in structure, technology, and excellence in the Mogi Guaçu region”, celebrates Dr. Roberta Rodrigues.

At the beginning of 2018, Intrepeds - Instituto de Treinamento, Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento do ser - emerged in a reorganization process. Located in Pinhais (PR), it offers several lectures, coaching services, alternative therapies, courses, and training, all aimed at the development of the human being. Among them are the courses in Assertive Oratory; Theater as Resources to Overcome Shyness; Time management; Mental maps; How to Conduct Efficient Meetings; Sales; Professional Marketing, in addition to personal, individual, and corporate services; personalized and business assistance in the coaching area, among others. Provided with a high-level faculty, with extensive experience in their specialties, in addition to solid training, Intrepeds is chaired by Prof. and Master in Technology 30

In 2020, in the face of the pandemic and social distance, the Intrepeds Institute had to reinvent itself, like most companies in the sector. Its bet was to transform all courses, lectures, and services into online processes.
