The book told a story of a person with the world against him, but with a need to succeed. This push and pull of society drives the kid through a series of decisions based on background and opportunity. At the end of it, the book becomes more of an existential discussion. The book merges psychedelic stimulants and street urgency through visuals. The residue and texture contrasted with a pale or white background/border creates an emphasis to the colored imagery. The patterns work in a way to cause a sense of impatience and time. There is a strong relationship that happens between how and what the typography says, and the mindful setting it take place in. The book told a narrative in an interesting and appealing way that is simple enough to be understood by the average person.
