Service Design Innovation Mdes at the London College of Communication
The MDes Innovation and Creativity in Industry course has recently undergone a name change to MDes Service Design Innovation to communicate and reflect the courses core philosophy and content more strongly. It is aimed primarily at students who have a graduate design discipline and wish to broaden their understanding of innovation and design as a collaborative interdisciplinary process. However, each year the course also attracts students from a diverse range of design related fields such as social science, business and computing. An essential feature of the course is the external collaborations with Universities (Cranfield University, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Sadi –Samsung Art and Design Institute in South Korea) as well as service design consultancies, local government and third sector organisations. Through these collaborations and exchanges students have the opportunity to participate in workshops, lectures and internship programmes.
