CUSTOM LUXURY RESIDENCE DETTLAFF RESIDENCE - 12,000 SF DESIGN STYLES ARCHITECTURE TAMPA, FL

Open Space | Mixture of Materiality | Separation of Functions | Maximization of Views | Reduction of Sound Transmittal The Dettlaff Residence is a 12,000 square foot custom home that was commissioned to be constructed in the Tampa Bay on the famous Bayshore Boulevard. The clients wanted a large 6 bedroom home with a nanny suite, a guest suite, gymnasium, office and 4 bedrooms. Being on the water all views needed to be maximized in order to take full advantage of the existing condition and fully utilize the site. The clients wanted to realize their dream home in which a warm blend of modern elements could come together in order to exalt the materiality of each in order to explore the full range of human comfort. It was our duty to create an environment that was at once separate enough to allow for privacy to all wings of the house as well as cozy enough to invite the well-being of the inhabitants. The design sought to incorporate many design features that would elaborate upon a language that echoes through the residence in order to fully integrate the separate living areas.

APARTMENT CLUBHOUSE RENOVATION IMT - 10,000 SF

DESIGN STYLES ARCHITECTURE ALPHARETTA, GA

Budget Conscious | Open Floor-plan | Business Center | Modernization and Renovation | Improvement of Guest Amenities IMT wanted to renovate the clubhouse of one of their existing apartment complexes. The client sought to create an open floorplan that would maximize the existing footprint by removing as many walls as possible. It was our task to invigorate the space with new life brought forward with new and updated finishes and fixtures while maintaining a strong conscious effort on upholding the budget. The geometry of the existing building was strongly guided by octagonal ceilings and walls and we chose to emphasize the existing geometric dynamics in order to create a language that guided the design descisions throughout the entirety of the project. It was our attempt to allow for these main geometric expressions to be the main generators of both the materials and the usage of these in the space provided.
