When Jesus Calls Your Name
[John 20:11-18]
John 20:11-13 11
But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. 13 They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."
John 20:14-15 14
Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away."
John 20:16-17 16
Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which 17 means Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
John 20:18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"- and that he had said these things to her.

Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.
Philippians 3:21 Christ will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body,
1 Corinthians 15:40,44 40
There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 44
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
John 20:15a Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"
When Jesus Calls Your Name 1) We can be distracted by physical, temporary things 2) We can be blind to the presence of Jesus in our lives

John 10:3-4,27 3
The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his 4 own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Isaiah 43:1 Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When Jesus Calls Your Name 1) We can be distracted by physical, temporary things
2) We can be blind to the presence of Jesus in our lives
3) We will rejoice when we hear God’s gracious voice
4) We are given a new perspective and purpose on life

Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to 18 my God and your God.’� Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"- and that he had said these things to her.
Matthew 28:9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
