Primavera Sound is a “can’t miss” music festival and, on this edition, Barcelona will become again an international music capital, with over 200 performances full of emerging talent and a good example of equal gender representation on the festival bill.
In this booklet we’re delighted to present the fantastic Catalan line-up. We hope it will become a useful companion for you, when planning your week.
We would like to welcome you also to Primavera Pro, the global meeting point for the music industry that we’re sponsoring and invite you to meet all accredited professionals during the “Botifarrada” Primavera Pro Welcome Party, organised by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies and its

internationalisation brand, Catalan Arts. This is a unique opportunity to connect, network and strengthen ties with fellow professionals, and enjoy a soundtrack by three up-andcoming Catalan artists, taking part on the 2024 line-up.
Join us on Wednesday 29th May, at 6:40 pm, at the CCCB for some food, drinks and music!
If you want more information on a particular artist or band, please don’t hesitate to contact them directly, or contact any of our offices –located in Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris– for further assistance.

With her first recording project No Light Without Darkness, LLUM has traced her path with her voice, with no frills; a constant force that illustrates the pumping body of an artist who only allows herself to be dominated by the hypnotic voice of her future.

Arca
The Barcelona-based Venezuelan artist gives body to every song, finding an aural equivalence between her transition and the more non-conformist sounds of clubbing and reggaeton. For those who like the new flesh, libidoboosting music and weird dancing.

Mujeres started making rock and roll at a time when pure rock was not very well considered on the country’s independent scene. Their garage songs and vibrant live shows are pure adrenaline and a celebration of rock and friendship.

Betu Molero, Marc Minguella and Jandro Giner say TIEMEI make electrohangover: elegant, early morning, enveloping electronica based on short-haul nostalgia. At Primavera Sound they present their first album The mourning after the night before.

Biographies say that Xebi Salvatella is from Girona, but he clearly comes from wonderland. His latest album Hola elefante is full of effects, distortions and alterations of reality to reveal that what we understand as a normal world is anything but normal.

irieix
irieix is an electro-singer-songwriter project that revolves around electro-pop, Latin music, selfparody, and Catalan sad-boyism. It was born to bring to light Lluís Margarit’s songs, but above all for the laughs, drawing heavily from memes and post-humor.
