Emma (8) wants to learn how to communicate with Usoa, a little girl who died of the plague and whose spirit has been trapped inside a derelict chapel for centuries. Emma tries to convince Carol (46), a fake, non-believing medium, to help her. If she can learn to talk to Usoa, she will be able to talk to her sick mother after she dies. What Carol doesn’t realise, however, is that Emma really can communicate with the dead. She has the gift, but if she continues to use it without knowing how to control it, she will be putting her life in danger.
