Client Brief Realm wanted an agency that could help them attract more visitors to their outlet villages. The company also needed a creative team that could deliver a large volume of marketing collateral that retained core elements of the generic branding yet reflected a specific outlet’s ‘personality’, its location and its target audience demographics.
Highlights • Solid footfall across outlet villages despite difficult economic climate • Positive comments from retailers received about ICG’s refreshed designs for advertisements • Achieving roll-out of new creatives for five outlet villages in an incredibly short period of time • Art direction by ICG of a new portfolio of images for Realm’s major Yorkshire retail destination Junction 32
Creative Solutions Straight away our creative team got digging to understand Realm’s business and their competitors. They also got out and about visiting several outlets to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of their current positioning. Combined with a regular dialogue with our client this robust initial research helped our creative thinking and the delivery of fresh but on brand concepts which have the flexibility to be tailored for each outlet.

From iphone apps to email marketing, moving brands to e-magazines, our digital team is leading the way in integrating digital strategies into our clients’ marketing plans.
Email Newsletters: keeping customers informed Regular e-newsletters to a targeted database are instant and effective. ICG can oversee the whole, or part of, the project including branding, layout, copywriting, imagery and output. We produce e-newsletters for clients including Servisair Lounges integrating them into marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
Digita Website: Central Training Communicating complex information across multipleservice platforms was a key component of the new website for Central Training. Detailed analysis of the client’s requirements at the ‘site structure’ stage as well as clever use of branding to segregate information allowed us to create an online presence that was easy to understand and navigate.

Website: Bleep UK A user-friendly content management system (CMS) was an essential part of Bleep’s requirements when it decided to create a new website. ICG built a bespoke CMS to enable regular updates combined with a dynamic new website design to show Bleep’s high level of expertise and professionalism.
Digital Presentation: Freightlink ICG was tasked with creating an online audio visual presentation to brief customers about a new service called Freightlink Reload. Downloadable from the website and YouTube, the presentation has become a useful marketing tool to help customers fully understand the benefits of the new service and Freightlink’s commitment to innovation.
Digital Publications: BAE Systems, Enterprise & Biwater ICG has the technical expertise to produce digital, interactive publications with a wide range of functionalities. Working with several bluechip clients, ICG has delivered digital formats that have been embedded with movies and sound, contain ‘page-turner’ features and can be uploaded as pdf’s onto an intranet site. Our dedicated team offer best advice for all scenarios.

me time TV & radio e Peter badge too. Results Four years working with Blackpool Zoo tells its own story. In the last 12 months the zoo has been delighted by record visitor numbers and revenue. ICG’s hardworking PR has contributed to this success with media coverage in the national and regional printed and digital press far outstripping the targets set by the attraction.
Client Brief ICG’s original brief was to position the zoo as a ‘must see’ destination. We also needed to ensure that the zoo had a media presence during off-peak periods to optimise visitor numbers. Open 364 days a year and located outside of Blackpool’s main tourist area the zoo has to attract ongoing healthy footfall and compete for visitor spend.
Highlights • Blue Peter film in 2011 • GMTV choose ICG’s April Fool’s Day idea ‘Zoo interviews for Giraffe Keepers over 6ft’ • 33 Regional Radio and TV stories – from births to new attractions • BBC Web – Baby Gorilla in ‘Top Ten Pictures of the Day’ • Popularity of Blackpool’s Meerkats hits the headlines in The Sun • Baby Gorilla makes front page in Animals & You mag
Creative Solutions To meet the brief, our PR team annually brainstorms new ideas and develops a 12-month plan of activity to ensure that there are fresh stories to issue every month. ICG also ‘seize the moment’ by linking storylines to topical issues and events. We got the sea lions playing football with TV presenters when Blackpool FC joined the Premiership, and during the general election the team issued photos of the sea lions with red, blue and yellow balls on their noses.
9
Through newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, blogs, Tweets, e-shots and online content our PR team works hard to get our clients’ news and messages read and heard by their key audiences.
Media relations: The Mall Blackburn Our cuttings books for The Mall Blackburn are filling up fast. A regular fashion column in a key target newspaper, news stories from awards and investment to store openings, as well as interviews on radio to discuss topical industry matters keeps The Mall Blackburn in front of shoppers.
Public R Copywriting for print and web ICG’s copywriting service gets to the point - from brochures to websites and much more. So when IHG, whose brands include Holiday Inn, needed a staff newsletter to report on senior executive and employee discussions at its annual European Forum the Group tasked ICG with the copywriting and design.
10
Sponsorship publicity for law firm Customers can be close to home. We help companies increase their profile by identifying and promoting community sponsorship projects. Our client Scott Rees & Co have benefitted from positive publicity by supporting young athletes as well as community policing and road safety initiatives.
Relations Crisis management If your company is under media scrutiny because of an incident or issue, ICG has the experience to help avert or minimise potential damage to your firm’s reputation. Our PR team can provide advice, prepare statements and deal with journalists when the going is getting tough.
Print to radio coverage for St. Deiniol’s Library Articles secured by ICG in The Guardian, Heritage Magazine, Journal of Liberal History, as well as interviews on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, helped this unique residential library, founded by Prime Minister William Gladstone, to attract new supporters and users.

Increased sales, data The tale of the tube w Results A recent survey showed that Yorkshire Copper Tube is viewed as the number one plumbing brand by contractors and merchants. ICG’s creative marketing and PR driven promotional campaigns for Yorkshire have had a direct and measurable positive impact on the industry’s awareness of the brand – testimony to their success ICG has now completed a seventh bespoke campaign. Highlights • Database of 11,000 potential purchasers built from scratch • Increased sales by 10% despite tough industry climate • Significant media coverage in key trade publications • ICG presented with an Award of Excellence for ‘Agency Team of the Year’ at the CiB Awards for Yorkshire promotional campaigns • ICG a finalist in the Construction Marketing Awards for our ‘Insight and Marketing Planning’ 12
Client Brief Yorkshire Copper Tube wanted to boost brand recognition and customer loyalty as it was facing competition not only from other copper manufacturers but also the producers of cheaper plastic alternatives. ICG needed to develop a strategy that engaged with the company’s core market of plumbers, specifiers and contractors. Creative Solutions ICG’s design, marketing and PR specialists knew that to engage directly with plumbers and specifiers any campaign had to be both fun and practical. Our ‘Scratch and Win’ and ‘Text-to Win’ competitions hit the nail on the head. They were quick to enter and offered a chance to win prizes that plumbers might actually want: cash, tools, fleeces, cheeky T-shirts and even a fully kitted out van! The fully integrated campaigns were promoted in-store at hundreds of plumbers merchants to ensure maximum return.

Blogging for solicitors For Scott Rees & Co Solicitors blogs about their industry news, staff activities and local community initiatives offer customers and industry partners a wider perspective on their business. It’s also a great way of boosting search engine optimisation! Working together, ICG handle the research, copywriting and upload.
Socia Tweeting for Twelve Keeping Twelve Restaurant & Lounge Bar in conversation with followers about new menus, events and special offers is a match made in heaven for ICG. We make sure they’re interesting and interactive on Twitter to get maximum results and keep them in the minds of new and existing customers.

Results ICG has been the preferred creative agency of Blackpool Airport for over five years providing branding, design, PR and web services. Testimony to our proven track record of meeting briefs and achieving the objectives set by Blackpool, our team has also undertaken project work for its sister airports, City of Derry Airport and Exeter International Airport.
Client Brief When Blackpool Airport transferred from public to private ownership, the airport’s management wanted to raise the profile of the airport with potential passengers and develop and strengthen the brand. They wanted to create a niche for the airport in an already strong North West air travel market and needed an agency with fresh and innovative ideas.
Highlights • Vibrant new airport branding developed with website to match • Launch of Blackpool Airport passenger magazine ‘Horizons’ with features and travel advice • PR for VIP event to open £2m redesigned terminal achieves widespread coverage including BBC • Designs for exhibition in 10ft high giant suitcase to celebrate 100 years of flying • Column inches generated in the media as 737 jet named after DJ Jo Whiley
Creative Solutions Our team thoroughly researched the positioning of other airports to determine how we could differentiate Blackpool. We developed new key messages such as ‘More holiday, less hassle’ to highlight the airport’s selling points, whilst a vibrant and colourful brand reflected the airport’s stress-free and friendly image. Ongoing visibility has been maintained through activities such as e-shots, bus advertising and PR.

From devising and developing brand strategies to implementing effective roll-out across printed and digital collateral, ICG’s thinking delivers creative solutions that work hard at all levels and supports the goal of stronger brand presence.
VIP Computers’ modernised branding “Evolve our brand to show customers that we are a forward thinking company in a dynamic industry” – that was ICG’s brief. The use of richer and graded colour gave the company’s logo more depth and created a 3-D effect which is more in tune with its business sector, whilst subtle changes to the ‘V’ created a positive ‘tick in the box’.

Strategic solutions for LFE League Football Education’s goal is to engage apprentices in education when the youngsters are fixed on football glory. ICG’s brand strategy and creative solutions included emotive imagery and photography and quirky illustrations whilst breaking information down into ‘bite sized’ chunks to deliver pace and attract attention.
nding Cohesive brand for Central Training With separate divisions providing vocational and educational courses under the Central Training umbrella, ICG was tasked with creating a distinctive yet cohesive brand identity for the company. Consistent typography tied to a strong colour palette for each division, created synergy and offered the flexibility to be used across all printed and digital materials.
