Based in the UAE, she has spent over a decade building an international reputation, with her work exhibited in major art hubs such as Tokyo, Milan, London, Côte d’Azur, Miami, and Brussels. Featured in Forbes, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar ART, and Wired, Bechara continues to push creative boundaries while earning acclaim for her distinctive artistic vision.
As part of her artistic journey, Kristel brings her talent to the InterContinental Maldives, where she will create exclusive pieces inspired by the island’s breathtaking landscapes. During her residency, guests will have the unique opportunity to engage with her creative process, experience live art sessions, and explore a collection that seamlessly blends contemporary expression with the natural beauty of the Maldives.

Held at InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, this handson session invites participants to unleash their inner artist as Kristel guides them through her techniques to create a personal masterpiece; it’s a chance to learn from the best, let creativity flow, and take home a unique souvenir from their stay. For those who prefer to watch the magic unfold, Kristel will also host live art sessions throughout her residency, offering a rare glimpse into her creative process.
