Then, in order, the liturgical feasts, the Apostles, the martyrs, the saints of the Greek Orthodox and Slavic traditions. Each theme is treated with a short introductory chapter accompanied by entries in which the feast, the title, the sources, a text of the liturgy or literature that refers to that icon are listed.
