Arne Jacobsen designed the egg in his garage at home for the SAS Royal Hotels lobby. The Egg was designed in conjunction with other furniture and the architecture of the hotel. The egg is named the triumph of Arne Jacobsen’s Design.
The Egg has a 360 swivel and tilt for the main objective of comfort and cosiness for the user.
The eggs shell polyurethane with fiber glass for reinforcement, the outer shells upholstery is made from leather or fabric. The stand is made from satin aluminum allowing the chair to swivel.
