This course has taught me a lot about past designers that have impacted design world. Assignment one was interesting as we had to come together as a group and complete a task, poster and timeline about in linked designers from a certain period. This helped me understand furniture design and how the events around that time influence design. Assignment two was focused on a specific designer: Arne Jacobsen. though my research I learnt that Arne Jacobsen was a one of a kind designer. He created the whole rather than a building. He built a larger picture. Arne Jacobsen is an inspirational designer that has sparked an intrest in my personal design. Creating this booklet has shown me more about the design process but it has taught me extreme amounts of Arne Jacobsen and the functionalist movement.
