bengal family WELCOME TO THE
YOU’RE INVITED TO CONVOCATION & MARCH THROUGH THE ARCH
Friday Before Fall Classes
Swanson Hall, constructed in 1902, was the first building on our campus. While the structure was razed in 1973, the building’s entrance was preserved and now stands on campus as a monument to the more than 120 years of Bengals that have joined our family.
Convocation and March Through the Arch are your official welcome to campus and the first step in your journey as a Bengal!
This tradition has been around for over 20 years, and we can’t wait to ROAR as you walk through the entrance of Swanson Hall, symbolizing your entrance to campus and your journey as an Idaho State University student.
When you graduate from Idaho State, you will be invited to walk back through the arch as we celebrate you stepping back out into the world with your degree and Bengal memories that will last a
