PROFESSOR SAKORN President of CIDI Chanapatana Congratulations to all the newly graduates. Your hard working has now paid off and enabled you to the new and ever challenging chapter of life! CIDI Chanapatana takes great pride in being a part of elevating Thailand’s designing fields. Our internationalization strategy has played a vital role on our road map. This year the institute has expanded the partnership agreements with renowned institutes in Italy with Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti and also to IED Istituto Europeo di Design for both academic semester exchange and bridging degrees. The connection also reaches to Slovakia with formal relationship with VSVU, in UK with University for the Creative Arts and in India with NID. A number of our students are about to experience these fruitful collaborations through their exchange programs. In 2018, the institute has successfully been granted an official member status of CUMULUS, the only global prestigious organization serving for excellent art & design higher education. This has not only strengthened CIDI Chanapatana reputation in the international arena, but also has connected Thailand to more opportunities in the global level.

OVERVIEW Chanapatana International Design Institute (CIDI Chanapatana) is Thailand’s first international design school founded in 2000 in co-operation with a leading Italian design institute. Operating under Luangphor Viriyang Sirintharo Foundation, CIDI Chanapatana is a non-profit organization with a mission to establish a culture of international learning where curriculums related to designs are offered with a strong commitment to develop Thai designers and Thai products to be one of the leaders in the international arena. The programs also provide prime opportunities for students to develop a creative mindset, to share and learn from each other, as well as to work with accomplished international faculty. CIDI Chanapatana offers a learning environment where the beauty and elegance of international design is integrated and transferred through our Interior and Product Design (ID) program and Fashion Design (FD) program.

INTERIOR & PRODUCT DESIGN Through the program, students will begin with the acquisition of the basic techniques of technical drawing and geometric design along with the theoretical elements. The students’ designs will concern objects of general use, product designs for distinct purposes and interior designs for various spaces. They will learn to elaborate projects for offices and shops, domestic spaces for various kinds of public and private spaces.

BEAN SPROUT Inspired by the nature of bean sprouts, as they can be germinated by themselves and can be grown at home. Moreover, they are good source of health benefit. The design concept is from easily grown bean sprout, develop to be a simple DIY product. The main material is rubber wood. To maximize the usage of this lamp, the light has double duties to use as direct light and task light.

INTERIOR DESIGN FOR SUTHIDA’S CONDO
The inspiration for Suthida’s residential project comes from an exploration around the globe for an ultimate travel experience. The main decorations are Bali and modern Oriental style to represent the journey diary resembling an experience on relaxation and tell a story of Suthida being on a journey that cherishes her great memories of her trips.

K-Bedroom To propose a different perspective of bedroom, I choose dark color for an interior design since it is also able to make users feel relax and to challenge the idea of bright color for bedroom design.
