SYNAPSE LAMP ADJUSTS FROM MOOD LIGHT TO TASK LIGHT BY SHIFTING THE UPPER PART
SENSOR TOUCH LIGHT SWITCH
The synapse light is a series of ceiling hung multi functional lighting made out of resin. The design is inspired by the connection between neurons in ou brain, that happens in the synapse gap. Light illuminates the gap formed between two main parts of the lamp and within the tiny gaps between each translucent resin piece.

Synapse CO-WORKING SPACE
Our brain has the greatest network structure and a synapse is the meeting point, a gap, between neurons. As powerful as neurons are, their strength and their purpose relies entirely on their CONNECTIONS. Nature inspired, the Synapse is a joint Interior & Product design project for a co-working space, introducing architectural elements & furnishing systems; a concept developed and interweaved alongside its signature product: The Synapse Lamp.
05
The Synapse system is a family of furnishing to accommodate the different functions of the Synapse Co-Working Space and inspired by the shapes and forms of the Synapse Lamp. Made of a combination of solid 30mm Ash wood and concrete.

WORKING SPACE FOR THE DESIGNER, AN ARTIST.
The 21st century designer wears many hats and is equipped with multiple skills. In a small space, the generous variety of applications for creative expression may demand a choice of what kind of designer to be. With access to technology, often,,, a designer may neglect the rough and raw artist in them. A working space made of metal, wood, concrete and resin, the GrassHopper is a bridge between technology and clear canvas creation. And the flexibility to be a creative self at any given moment in time.

International Design Institute GENERAL NOTES:
Cartography inspires beautiful design patterns, shapes and colours. Beyond that, as with topography, the deeper we look, we see that everything exists on cycles, a foundation to restore balance.

RAIN During sleep, our brain clears away busy day accumulated waste a function for restoring balance of body and mind. Living in an overstimulated society clutters our minds making it harder to get a restful sleep. Our minds must replace the invaded topsy-turvy rhythms with rhythms that return us to our nature. With rain being a calming signifier for washing away, The RAIN is a channel to release thoughts, empty the mind, and sleep peacefully. We challenge innovation to produce perfect balance of design stimuli: Curvy translucent form with calming colours and rhythmic movement of water with light that is sensitive to our circadian rhythm. RAIN is a beautiful reminder in the day and a cleansing device at night. We hope the Lamp will encourage us to live a healthier life, appreciate taking care of our natural selves, and open space to train our minds to be mindful and balanced. https://youtu.be/81L6SkJko88
