Work Experience Placement Appeal 23rd – 27th June 2014 This year we are launching a work experience week for selected Year 10 students and all of our Year 12 students as part of their ‘Futures Week’ programme. The aims of Work Experience are:  To engage students in activities or challenges relating to the courses they are studying  To gain valuable experience and understanding of the world of work  To develop skills, knowledge and confidence for adult life  To learn the disciplines, routines and relationships in a work place Local firms and organizations have always been tremendously generous with their time in supporting our Work Experience programme but we are always looking for new opportunities for our students in a variety of occupations.

Can you help?.....  Do you manage a business or are you self-employed?  Does anyone in your family own and/or run a business?  Are you in a position where you could offer a placement(s) to either Year 10 or Year 12 student(s)  Do you think your employer be willing to be involved in our ‘Futures Week?’ If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of the above questions please contact Mrs Roden, Work Experience Officer at Kingsmead School on 01543 512265 or email h.roden@kingsmead.staffs.sch.uk

Alternatively, if you are unable to offer a placement but have any ideas, suggestions or recommendations that you would like to share please contact Mrs Roden on 01543 512265 or email h.roden@kingsmead.staffs.sch.uk
